The Invite: Top Five Scorers

The Invite has some of the top players in the Louisville metro are participating in it. Most of the players are from Region 6 and 7. Some will argue that these two regions are the toughest in the state. The 2020-2021 state championship might belong to one of these regions. Lets take a look at some of the top scorers of The Invite.

Kennedy "Keno" Hayden-2022-Ballard HS- Keno leads The Invite in scoring with 26 points per game. He has the ability to score from all levels. The strongest part of his scoring is getting to the rim. He is strong enough to shed contact and finish around the rim. Look for Keno to be a factor for Ballard HS.

Sosthene KambaSostheneKamba6'6" | PFEastern | 2023StateKY-2023-Eastern HS- Sosthene is a young 6’5" athletic wing. He is currently averaging 24 points per game at The Invite. Sosthene scores in a variety of ways. He offensive rebounds to get put backs. He can attack off the dribble. His athleticism makes him tough to handle in transition. Once his jumper becomes more consistent watch out. He will be a great compliment to Christian Spaulding at Eastern HS.

Devin PerryDevinPerry5'11" | PGDeSales | 2021StateKY-2021-DeSales HS- Devin is probably the best scoring point guard in The Invite. He is currently averaging 22 points per game. He plays with good pace and under control. His handles and speed helps him blow by a lot of people to get to the basket. Once in the lane he can score over bigger players with his craftiness. He has a great layup package and float game. Getting to the rim is not all he does. He can make shots from beyond the arc as well as mid range jumpers. Devin is fearless and fun to watch.  Sekou KalleSekouKalle6'9" | CDeSales | 2021StateKY-2021-DeSales HS- Sekou is the high school teammate of Devin PerryDevinPerry5'11" | PGDeSales | 2021StateKY. At The Invite they play on different teams. Sekou is currently averaging 20 points per game. He scores mostly around the block, but he has shown that he can face up as well. Kalle has a decent jump shot and ability to dribble the basketball. His great rebounding ability gives him more opportunities to score more points. DeSales has a good one-two punch in Sekou and Devin. They should be fun to watch during high school season.  Jaquais Franklin-2021-Elizabethtown HS- Jaquais is a smooth player. He is currently averaging 20 points per game. Franklin is probably the one player that utilizes the mid-range jumper the most. He has a smooth shot from deep as well. Jaquais handles helps him to create space for his shot. He will be a good solid college guard.
