The Invite are games with some of Kentucky’s top players in each class. The classes range from 2021-2025. Most of the players are from the Louisville area, which shows just how tough it is to play in Regions 6 and 7. These are the standout players in Game 1.
Devin Perry Devin Perry 5'11" | PG DeSales | 2021 State KY – 2021- DeSales HS- In game 1 Devin finished with 22 points 5 assist, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. He showed that he could attack players off the dribble to get to the basket. His speed and handles were probably the best I saw in game 1. He is a very shifty player with great change of speed dribbles. He also showed he could make shots beyond the arc. He is a scrappy defender as well.
Sosthene Kamba Sosthene Kamba 6'7" | PF Eastern | 2023 State KY – 2023- Eastern HS- The 6’5” guard showed off his athleticism with a few dunks and rebounds. His ability to rebound and start the break is a great asset to have. He got out in transition running the floor hard. He is a capable finisher off the dribble around the rim. Once his jumper becomes more consistent he will be a great mid major pick up. He finished the game with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
Keno Hayden-2022-Ballard HS- Keno, a really good all around player put up 26 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 3 assist in game 1. His ability to get the the basket is a plus. He has the size to shed defenders and take contact to finish. Hardin has great speed off the bounce. He can step out and make shots beyond the arc. He is a solid prospect at the next level.
Jaquias Franklin-2021- Elizabethtown HS- Franklin put up some impressive numbers with 20 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. He is a smooth player with great vision. Handles the ball well and gets players involved. He looked good defensively as he was able to keep the ball in front of him. Jaquias played with good pace and under control. He has a smooth jumper. Showed versatility shooting the three and midrange shots.
Tucker Blanford Tucker Blanford 6'6" | SF Bullitt East | 2022 State KY -2022-Bullitt East HS-In game 1 Tucker quietly scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. At 6’6” he showed some versatility with the ability to rebound and start the break. He finished well around the basket. Made some shots to show off his jumper. Blanford has a really nice touch on his shot. Tucker is a player that every program needs. He doesn’t need the ball a lot to be effective on the floor.
