*Played A True Floor Game
*Did Not Have To Score A Ton Of Points To Have An Impact On The Game
*Showcased His Sound Decision Making And Court Vision
*Played With A Lot Of Energy And Activity On The Defensive End
*Took What The Defense Gave Him By Capitalizing On A Number Of Mid-Range Scoring Opportunities And Driving Opportunities To The Rim
*Played A Very Unselfish, Team First Game
2. Devondrake Arvie (Class Of ’22) 6-2 Guard – Beau Chene High School (Arnaudville, LA)
*Stepped Up To The Plate When He Was Called Upon To Play A Different Role Due To The Number Of True Scorers He Was Teamed With, But Showed That He Could Effectively Be A True Facilitating, Pass First PG By Doing A Excellent Job At Creating For His Teammates And Effectively Running The Offense.
*Made Plays For Everyone, While Taking Advantage Of The Scoring Opportunities He Was Able To Create For Himself And Taking Advantage Of The Scoring Opportunities The Defense Gave Him To Finish In The Lane With Either A Nice Mid-Range Pull Up Or Penetrating Into The Lane To Finish At The Rim
*Played Lock Down Defense The Entire Day
3. Jourdain Dismond (Class Of ’21) 6-8 PF/C – Holy Savior Menard High School (Alexandria, LA)
*Was Very Active On The Glass
*Good, Soft Hands And Timing Around The Rim
*Solid Footwork
*Ran The Floor Extremely Well
*Showed His Ability To Step Out And Knock Down The Mid-Range Shot
*Was Very Active And Disruptive On The Defensive End
*Created A Number Of Second Chance Opportunities With His Activity On The Boards And Willingness To Not Give Up On The Play.
*Very Effective On The Block And In The Paint
4. Avontez Ledet Avontez Ledet 6'3" | CG Cecilia | 2021 State LA (Class Of ’21) 6-3 Guard – Cecelia High School – Breaux Bridge, LA
*His Strong 3 Point Scoring Ability/Stroke Was On Full Display
*Showed That He Did Not Need To Have The Ball In His Hands To Score. Moved Well Without The Ball To Get Scoring Opportunities
*Was Very Active On Both Ends Of The Floor
*Excellent Wingspan
*Showed That He Can Be A Lock-Down Defender
*Great Size And Skill Set To Play Both Guard Positions
*Showcased Great Passing Skills. Distributed The Ball Extremely Well
*Was Able To See The Floor Very Well
5. Rayshun McCullar Rayshun McCullar 6'1" | PG Huntington | 2022 State LA (Class Of ’22) 6-1 PG – Huntington High School (Shreveport, LA)
*Played A “Complete” Point Game Showing His Ability To Score The Ball As Well As Get Others Involved.
*Was A Pest On The Defensive End, Making A Number Of Plays
*Rebounded The Ball Very Well For His Size
*Showed Excellent Facilitating, Ball Distributing Skills
*Very Tough, High I.Q Ball Player
*Did Not Back Down From The Competition. Fearless Competitor
*A Very Capable Scorer When Called Upon To Play That Role
6. Jacob Wilson Jacob Wilson 6'5" | SF Liberty | 2022 State LA (Class Of ’22) 6-4 G – Liberty Magnet High School (Baton Rouge, LA)
*Very Talented, Versatile Scorer
*Showed A Solid Stroke From Behind The 3-Point Line
*Showcased His Great Ability To Get By His Defender To Get Into The Lane And Finish At The Rim
*Worked Hard And Played Hard The Entire Day
*Showcased His Excellent Court Vison And Playmaking Ability The Entire Day
7. Jalen Bolden Jalen Bolden 6'5" | SG Zachary | 2022 State LA (Class Of ’22) 6-4 G/F – Zachary High School (Zachary, LA)
*Played With A Lot Of Energy And Activity. Has A Really High Motor
*Made A Ton Of Plays For His Teammates
*Was Able To Score The Ball In A Variety Of Ways
*Defended At A High Level Against Multiple Positions
*Never Took Any Plays Off
*Distributed The Ball Well The Entire Day
*Played A Very Balanced, Versatile Game On Both Ends The Whole Day.
8. Joseph Manning Joseph Manning 6'3" | CG Bossier | 2022 State LA (Class Of ’22) 6-2 Guard – Bossier High School (Bossier, LA)
*Made Smart Plays The Entire Day, Rarely Made Any Mistakes
*Was Very Solid On Both Ends, Showing That He Score, But Really Taking Pride In Getting His Teammates Involved And Making Plays For Them.
*Showed A True Understanding Of His Positioning On The Court
*Court Vision Was Amazing
*High Basketball I.Q Showed Each Time He Stepped On The Court
