There Were Quite A Few Players In Attendance That Stepped Up To The Plate And Preformed At A High Level “When The Lights Came On” To Make Their Case As To Why Their Name Should Be Mentioned As Louisiana’s Best, But There Were A Few That Stood Out From The Rest Of The Pack.

1. Derrick Tezeno Derrick Tezeno 6'5" | SF North Central | 2021 State LA (Class Of ’21) 6-5 Combo Guard – North Central High School – Lebeau, LA
*Was Very Active Around The Rim
*Showed Off His Amazing Athleticism With A Variety Of Dunks Around The Rim
*Rebounded The Ball Well
*Showed His Ability To Handle The Ball And Lead The Break
*A True Athlete
*Finished Extremely Well In Transition
*Got Into The Lane And Finished At The Rim Easily
2. Will Allen Will Allen 6'7" | PF Bonnabel | 2021 State LA (Class Of ’21) 6-8 PF/C – Bonnabel High School – Metairie, LA
*Did A Lot Of Damage Scoring The Ball In The Paint
*Showcased His Versatility On Both Ends
*Showed His Ability To Play Away From The Basket
*Rebounded The Ball At High Rate The Entire Day (Averaged Close To 14 RPG On The Day)
*Showed Solid Ball Handling Skills For A Big
*Showed The Ability To Bring His Out Of The Paint To Drive And Finish In The Lane
*Was A Stud On The Defensive End, Disrupting A Number Of Shots
*Ran The Floor Extremely Well
*Plays With A Very High Motor
*A Very Smart And Instinctive Ball Player
3. Da’Tayvius Gabriel (Class Of ’21) 6-5 G/F – St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA)
*Showed Off His Versatility On Both Ends Of The Court Putting On Display His Ability To Have A Major Impact On The Game By Being Able To Defend Multiple Positions On The Defensive End As Well As Play Multiple Positions And Contribute In A Number Of Ways On The Offensive End.
*Was Able to Do A Lot Of Damage Off The Dribble
*Showed That He Could Be An Effective Scorer On The Perimeter
*Never Was In A Rush Or Forced To Do Anything He Did Not Want To Do. On Offense, He Did Not Let The Defense Dictate His Move.
*Played At A Steady Pace/Flow The Entire Day. Most Of His Damage Was Done In The Flow Of The Game
*Played Off The Ball Extremely Well. Did Not Need The Ball In His Hand To Have A Impact.
*Always Seemed To Always Be In The Right Place At The Right Time To Make The Right Play.
4. Jonquaruous Mcgee (Class Of ’21) 6-2 PG – Opelousas Tigers (Opelousas, LA)
*Played With A Ton Of Energy.
*Played Under Control And At A Nice Pace The Entire Day
*Scored The Ball Very Effectively The Entire Day.
*Showed The He Could Penetrate Into The Lane And Finish At The Rim As Well As His Ability To Step Out And Shoot The Ball From The Perimeter
*Very Strong, Athletic Guard Who Was Able To Play Through Contact And And Finish In Traffic
*Rebounded The Ball Very Well
*Excellent Change Of Pace Ability
*Played Excellent On Ball Perimeter Defense
*Was Able Easily Pick His Spots When To Be Aggressive And Go In Attack Mode And When To Go Into Facilitator Mode And Get Others Involved.
*High Basketball I.Q And Amazing Court Vision Was On Full Display.
5. Gage Lavardain (Class Of ’21) 5-10 PG – Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA)
*Showed That He Can Control The Pace Of The Game
*Did A Tremendous Job At Passing The Ball And Making Plays In Transition
*Next Level Court Vision And Basketball Smarts
*Did A Excellent Job Of Setting His Teammates Up To Make Plays
*Showed That His Capable Of Being A Score First Guard By Scoring 22 Points In His Second Game, But Also Showed That He Can Be A Pass First/Facilitating PG As Well.
*Is Capable Of Playing Whatever Role He Is Asked To Play. Very Unselfish And Very Coachable.
*Did Not Back Down From Guard Bigger Players.
*Showed That He Was A Excellent Shot Creator For Himself.
6. Kendrick Delahoussaye Kendrick Delahoussaye 6'0" | PG Lafayette High | 2021 State LA (Class Of ’21) 5-11 PG – Lafayette High School (Lafayette, LA)
*Did Not Allow The Defense To Dictate His Pace Or Decision Making
*Excellent Ball Handling Skills
*Was Able To Easily Get Into The Mid-Range Area Of The Court And Create A Lot Of Scoring Opportunities For Himself
*Showed A Nice, Fluid Shooting Stroke
*Played Very Well Defensively. Was Aggressive Defending On The Ball
*Did A Good Job Of Distributing The Ball And Running The Offense
