Here’s a look at some of those players who will be donning new jerseys when the season tips off, players who should have a big impact with their new teams.
1. Max Allen Max Allen 6'8" | C CA-S – Sierra Canyon 2022
Allen is a very good interior prospect and strong inside presence. He has great size in the paint. He’s still a little raw, but the talent/skills are readily apparent. He sets good screens to free up his teammates. He’s very active defensively, especially around the rim. He challenges everything in the paint. Has all the makings of being an interior defensive anchor.
2. Corey Cofield – West Ranch 2021
Cofield has good size for a wing, he’s long and athletic and creates matchup problems for opposing perimeter defenders. He can get to the rim and he can finish strong with contact. He also has a good midrange shot. He’s a decent enough playmaker in transition capable of finding his teammates.
3. Ramel Lloyd Jr – Rancho Christian 2022
Lloyd is a matchup nightmare for opposing players. He can play multiple positions both offensively and defensively. He’s got great court vision and is in the mold of a tall point guard. He runs the floor well either as the ball-handler or filling the lanes to catch a pass. He’s a solid playmaker who finds his teammates for easy baskets. On the defensive end, he uses his length to contest shots well.
4. Luke Turner Luke Turner 6'8" | SG Santa Margarita Catholic | 2021 State CA-S – Santa Margarita 2021
Turner has been known as one of the best outside shooters in the SoCal region while he was at Rancho Christian. He’ll show off his sharpshooting game with Santa Margarita now. He’s got a very pure stroke from the outside and a very quick release. His offensive game has expanded a little more too. He can attack the rim and he can finish strong around the defense.
