Another Tuesday in Louisiana and another ranking release from Prep Hoops Louisiana. This time, it is the class of 2023. Due to Covid-19 and the lack of exposure to freshmen across the state, the list is short compared to others. However, these rankings have some of the rising sophomores who will impact the prep scene this year.

The top ten is a solid list of up and coming players in the state.  Most of these super sophomores are major contributors to their high school and grassroots teams.

Heading the list is one of the best players in the country, Chris Lockett Chris Lockett 6'5" | CG Isidore Newman | 2023 State #28 Nation LA (6’5″/Isidore Newman).  He is a highly skilled guard who already has offers from Power 5 schools on his resume.

Here is the top 10

This class already has state champions, all-state players, and all-district performers just in the top 20 with others on the list receiving varsity playing time.  Look out for this group as they move into their second high school season.
