What makes this class unique is how many players on the list are from non 5A schools. In this article PH takes a look at the top small school players who cracked the top 50 of our list.
Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Elko (#9) (featured image) – Klekas tops the list because of his consistent play. He has been one of the top 3A scorers and rebounders from the 1st day he stepped onto the court. He is effective as an undersized post, or playing a point forward role. Klekas can score with either hand around the rim, and is an above average 3 point shooter when left open.
Torak TT Valosek Torak TT Valosek 6'4" | CG Incline | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Incline (#22) – Valosek has a college ready frame right now. He’s a tough competitor that takes a beating on his drives to the rim. He does it all for Incline including playing both backcourt spots, rebounding and defending the opposing teams best player.
Andrew Lehmann Andrew Lehmann 5'11" | SG South Tahoe | 2022 State NV 5’11 PG South Tahoe (#23) – Lehmann is a standout in both Tennis and Baseball. He’s not bad on the hardwood either. The 3 sports star is a lethal shooter capable of getting hot and stringing together makes. He averaged nearly 17 per last season, which included 12 games with at least 3 three point field goals.
Carson Kingston Carson Kingston 6'3" | SG Fernley | 2022 State NV 6’2 SG Fernley (#38) – Don’t sleep on Kingston. Like many small school players, the 6’2 guard is a multi sport athlete, staring on the gridiron. He puts in work on the basketball court as well. Kingston averaged 16 a game last season as a sophomore, making him the 4th leading returning 3A scorer.
Declan Sawin Declan Sawin 6'1" | SF Founders | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF The Founders School (#39) – Swain is a versatile high IQ player. He’s been a fixture in the lineup since the opening of THS two seasons ago. Swain is a point forward type, that can handle in the backcourt or finish in the lane.
Isaiah Dahl Isaiah Dahl 6'4" | SG Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Elko (#47) – Elko is more than a 1 man team. Dahl plays Robin to Klekas’s Batman, netting a little over 11 per game last year. A scrappy player that moves well without the ball. Dahl can score in transition or off catch and shoots. His most complete game was his 26 – 6 – 7 performance against Lowry last season.
Dawson Dumas Dawson Dumas 6'1" | PG Elko | 2022 State NV 6’1 SG Elko (#47) – Easy to see why Elko has been to consecutive 3A championship games. Dumas is another talented c/o 2022 player for the squad. He’s a confident shooter who makes them from all over the court. He displayed his strap in last years 3A Semis against Del Sol knocking down 5 3’s in the victory.
