Hosted by recruiting legend Dinos Trigonis, the 48 team showcase featured some of the top AAU programs on the West Coast. It also included some high level PG play. In this article PH takes a look at some of the top PG’s from the event.
Bryce Griggs 6’3 Border Boyz 2022 (#2PHT 2022) – Loved his handle, his athleticism and shot making ability. Hectic week overall for BB, but Griggs displayed why he is one of the top PG’s in his class.
DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV 5’11 PG West Coast Select 2024 (#2PHN 2024) (featured image) – What he did this weekend was pretty remarkable. Playing up against some of the top talent on the West Coast, Thomas made the game look easy. He banged home 3’s from deep, was unstoppable when he got to his left hand, and was pretty good going right. Showed why he is one of the top players in the c/o 2024.
Nolan Hickman Nolan Hickman 6'2" | PG Eastside Catholic | 2021 #29 Nation UT 6’2 Seattle Rotary 2021 (#2PHW 2022) – Bittersweet, only because my opportunities to cover Hickman are becoming less and less. He was spectacular all weekend, dominating with speed, knockdown shooting ability and high ball screen expertise.
Julian Agosto Julian Agosto 5'11" | PG Nathan Hale | 2021 State WA 6’0 Team LaVine 2021 (#8PHW 2021) – Augusto showed a nice burst and the ability to get consistent paint touches on the weekend. Willing defender that can lock down on ball when defending the 1.
Leo DeBruhl Leo DeBruhl 6'3" | PG Seattle Academy | 2021 State WA 6’2 Seattle Rotary 2021 (#9PHW 2021) – Was really impressed with DeBruhl. He showed that his skill set fits in perfectly with high level talent. Known mainly as a shooter, DeBruhl proved that can do more. His handling, vision and passing qualify him as one of the top PG’s from the event.
Jordan Pope 6’1 PG Team Arsenal 2022 (#3PHNC 2022) – It was an up and down weekend for Pope, but when he was on, he showed what he can really do. Good ballhandler with tremendous blow by ability, that showed a knack for finishing in the paint.
