I was able to catch a few games and parts of others where I saw prospects rise their stock immensely. This is not a definitive list, just in the games I saw.
Stock Risers:
2021 6’3 PG Leo DeBruhl Leo DeBruhl 6'3" | PG Seattle Academy | 2021 State WA (Seattle Rotary 17u) – Easily one of the top stock risers from Washington based on his performance at the Rocky Mountain Summit event. Overtime, Ball is Life and other media outlets regularly published some of DeBruhl’s great vision and passing to the likes of Paolo Banchero Paolo Banchero 6'10" | PF O'Dea | 2021 State #3 Nation WA and Kaden Perry Kaden Perry 6'10" | C Battle Ground | 2021 State #16 Nation WA . The 6’3 point guard is stronger, making better decisions than last Summer and playing a solid all around game. He showed that he can easily fit in with some upper tier players and should be seeing his recruitment really heating up heading into his senior year.
2021 6’10 C Kaden Perry Kaden Perry 6'10" | C Battle Ground | 2021 State #16 Nation WA (Seattle Rotary 17u) – Explosive is a strong word to describe an athlete, but it is almost an understatement with Perry. He has a rare mixture of quick twitch muscles, the ability to jump off one or two feet, wiry strength and a nonstop motor. His rebounding, rim protection and ability to catch and finish is elite. The thing that impressed me most was his spin move to finish a 12-15 foot shot with soft touch. If he can keep knocking down the 12-15 foot shot consistently, it will serve him well before he steps foot on campus at Gonzaga University.
2023 6’6 SF Jaylin Stewart Jaylin Stewart 6'7" | SG Garfield | 2023 State #71 Nation WA (Seattle Rotary 15u) – It was almost unfair for Rotary to have Stewart playing at the 15u division. He came out averaging 21 points per game and showed offensive flashes of great brilliance. Put back dunks, long range threes and the in between game were all on display. He is not in the top 25 nationally as of today, but he helped put himself into the conversation this past weekend.
2023 6’9 PF Miles Heide Miles Heide 6'7" | C Mount Si | 2023 State #274 Nation WA (Team LaVine 15u) – A sleeper that will only be a sleeper for so much longer. The length, bounce and motor is really impressive for a young 6’9 forward still growing and growing into his body. Heide is far from a finished product, but I have no doubt in my mind he will be playing at the high major level when it’s all said and done.
