One of those events, the Pangos All West Frosh/Soph Camp was held this weekend in Utah. The camp featured some of the top talent in the classes of 2023 and 2024 on the West Coast.
Here’s a look at some of the local Southern California players who participated in the camp.
1. Keoni Kama – St Bernard 2023
Kama is a very solid ball-handler. He looks very comfortable with the ball in his hands, especially on the break. He has good court vision and he can find open teammates. If left open, he can knock down shots from three-point range. Steps into his shot well. Tries hard on the defensive end and applies strong ball pressure.
2. Brady Dunlap Brady Dunlap 6'7" | SF Harvard-Westlake | 2023 State #100 Nation CA-S – Harvard Westlake 2023
Dunlap is a very versatile scorer. He was at Hart last season as a freshman, but will be at Harvard Westlake for his sophomore year. He’s one of those players who just has that ‘it’ factor when it comes to getting a bucket. He’s got unlimited range on his jumper and he can get his shot off against any defender with his length. Shoots well off the dribble. Reads defense and makes the right play.
3. Jeremy Williams – Etiwanda 2024
Williams is a strong finisher at the rim. He has quickness and can get past his defender on his way to the basket. His slashing game is his strength. While he is a strong slasher, his offensive game has other levels too. He can shoot from the outside, and he can move without the ball at times and make cuts to the rim. He’s also active around the rim on the glass.
4. Brayden Kyman – 2025
Kyman was one of the youngest players at the camp as he is still in middle school. The younger brother of UCLA sharpshooter Jake Kyman, Brayden is in the same mold as a sniper from three-point range. He has a quick release and can pull-up from three in transition and can spot up as well. He also has good vision and looks for his teammates on the break or in the half court. Certainly a player to watch as he gets to high school.
