Taj DeGourville Taj DeGourville 6'4" | SF Red Rock Academy | 2024 State #203 Nation NV 6’3 SG Durango 2024 (#3PHN 2024) – Degourville could really be called a 1 through 4. Played at a measured tempo, but was able to lull defenders to sleep before making quick moves to the basket. Shot it well, and was able to get out in transition and finish.
Justin Daniels Justin Daniels 6'4" | SG Mater Dei | 2023 CA-S 6’4 SG Mater Dei 2023 – Explosive athlete that spent a good deal of the weekend attacking the rim. When he gets out in transition, he’s nearly impossible to contain. Finished several lobs, and showed a quick first step when in iso situations.
Tyler Harris 6’7 SF Newark Memorial 2023 – One of the most explosive athletes on the list, Harris was able to drive and slash his way to the bucket at ease. What I loved about him was his court vision and passing. The 6’7 wing delivered several high level dimes from the high post.
Isaiah Elohim 6’4 SG Heritage Christian 2024 – Elohim played on the same team as Daniels and sometimes it was difficult to tell the two apart. He has terrific length and showed a great ability to get to the bucket. The incoming freshmen was a blur in transition who also found ways to manufacture points through offensive putbacks.
Ryder Elisaldez Ryder Elisaldez 6'1" | CG Bishop Gorman | 2024 State NV 6’1 SG Bishop Gorman 2024 (#4PHN 2024) (featured image) – Everytime I turned on the film from this weekend, Elisaladez jumped off the screen. Plays with a high energy that essentially dictates the tempo the game will be played at. Good athlete that was able to complete some tough finishes around the rim.
Sterling Knox 6’5 SF Durango 2023 (#3PHN 2023) (featured image) – For my money Knox was the most consistent player at the camp. He’s a natural wing that showed skills compatible with every position. Knox could be seen leading the break, rebounding the ball and scoring off dribble drives. He earned a selection into the top 60 game.
Darius Carr Darius Carr 6'3" | SG Fairfax | 2023 State #63 Nation CA-S 6’3 SG St Bernard 2023 – Carr is another guy that jumped off the screen. It was easy to pick up on his athleticism in person, however watching him on film, it almost looks like he’s on an escalator and everyone else is on stairs. Big time R&J athlete, he didn’t finish every one of them, but he tried several impressive dunks during the weekend.
Josiah Cunningham Josiah Cunningham 6'2" | SG Coronado | 2024 State #225 Nation NV 6’2 SG Coronado 2024 – Cunningham displayed a quick first step, as well as a willingness to defend on ball. His slashing and driving combined with his ability to get out in transition make him a low volume scorer that needs very few touches to produce buckets.
