DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV 6’1 PG Liberty 2024 (#2PHN 2024) – Even when Thomas isn’t at his best, it’s almost impossible for him to have a bad game. I was interested to see how he would perform in a camp setting. He stayed true to his skill set, getting all the way to the rim with his left hand, hitting deep bombs when left open and punishing smaller guards in the post. Thomas’ play was rewarded with a selection to the top 30 game.
Khaman Maker Khaman Maker 7'1" | C Trinity | 2024 State #127 Nation NV 7’1 C Desert Valley Prep 2024 – It’s hard not to fall in love with Maker’s innocents. He competes as if it’s the only thing he knows how to do. He was a factor all week with his shot blocking and rim protection. While still raw on the offensive end, he showed a soft touch around the rim. Maker’s come a long way in a short time, I’m excited to see how he develops over the next few months.
Marcus Fizer Jr Marcus Fizer Jr 6'6" | SG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ 6’4 SG Coronado 2023 (#4PHN 2023) – Fizer has an advanced offensive skill set. He used an array of euro’s and 1,2’s to finish around the rim. A sniper when left open Fizer showed the ability to get buckets in a variety of ways.
Sterling Knox 6’5 SF Durango 2023 (#3PHN 2023) – Knox is a positionless player that can best be described as a hooper. He rebounded, led the break, scored in the post and knocked down open shots. Knox basically played every position on the court, showing an advanced skill set. His ability to grab it off the rim and start the break is borderline elite, and he was rewarded with a selection to the top 60 game.
Taj DeGourville Taj DeGourville 6'4" | SF Red Rock Academy | 2024 State #203 Nation NV 6’4 SG Durango 2024 (#1PHN 2024) – DeGourville has an awkward combination of strength and finesse. He uses his advanced frame to bully smaller defenders. When they back off, he buries 3’s. DeGourville was selected to the top 60 game.
Josiah Cunningham Josiah Cunningham 6'2" | SG Coronado | 2024 State #225 Nation NV 6’2 SG 2024 (#4PHN 2024) – Perhaps the quickest first step in his class. Cunningham glides to the rim and has an advanced finishing package. A willing defender, the 6’2 wing was selected to the top 60 game.
Ryder Elisaldez Ryder Elisaldez 6'1" | CG Bishop Gorman | 2024 State NV 6’1 SG Bishop Gorman 2024 (#10PHN 2024) – The only challenge to Cunningham’s first step is Elisaldez. He explodes to the basket and showed quick twitch muscles when finishing at the rim. He’s a multi skilled guard who’s ceiling depends on his ability to consistently make outside shots.
Osiris Grady Osiris Grady 6'7" | PF Coronado | 2023 #195 Nation UT 6’7 PF 2023 (#2PHN 2023) (featured image) – Grady is on the rise! 6 months ago he was a back to the basket post with limited ball skills. This weekend, he showed that he is a versatile forward with the ability to score in isolations, off putbacks and with his back to the basket. If he continues to transition down to the three, then we’re looking at a D1 prospect that falls into the stockriser/sleeper category.
