It also featured several elite student athletes. In this article we take a look at some of the top high academic prospects from the camp.
Luke Hladky 5’9 PG Campbell County (WY) 2021 – Hladky was one of the best shooters at the camp. He was partial to the corner, but managed to spray from all over the court. He gets it done in the classroom as well, as he sports a 3.8 GPA.
Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT 6’0 PG Cyprus (UT) 2023 (#30PHU 2023) – Meza was fun to watch. Has a swagger and a nice wiggle to his game. The young PG was one of the best off the bounce players I saw and was rewarded by being selected to the Top 75 game. He also is one of the top students athletes as he brings in a 3.8 GPA.
AJ Burgin 6’3 CG San Diego (CA) 2021 (#24PHSC 2021) – Burgin is a smooth combo that plays with terrific defensive instincts. Has a solid frame and was good finishing through contact on drives to the rim. He’s also good in the classroom rocking a 4.1 GPA.
Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT 6’11 PF Layton (UT) (#11PHU 2021) (feature image) – Squires won’t blow you away with his athletic ability however what he lacks in athletic ability he makes up for with skill. Unique player who showed the ability to put the ball on the ground and create for teammates. He is a 3.5 student as well.
Trevon Rodgers 5’11 CG Durango 2023 – Add another talented guard to the Durango roster, which will now be referred to as backcourt high. Rodgers held his own against tough competition showing the ability to score in transition. He also scores in the classroom bringing home a 4.0 GPA.
Yaquib Mir 6’1 PG Granite Bay (CA) 2023 (#21PHNC 2023) – Mir was another one of the young players that played well. Plays with good pace and has a strap. The young PG’s play was rewarded with a selection to the top 50 game. In the classroom he is a top student, bringing home a 4.0 GPA.
