It’s never too early for too-early-season. With fall sports and school underway, it’s only a matter of time before the winter sports season is upon us. 

With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the top guards in Region 1

Crockett is a potential all-state lead guard and among the best point guards in Class B. The 5-foot-10 senior is dynamic on both sides of the court, possessing top-notch scoring ability from all three levels, plus a defensive tenacity that sets the tone for the rest of the team.

Max KobbervigMaxKobbervig5'10" | PGCentral Cass | 2021StateND, Central Cass

Kobbervig is one of the best shooters in the region and a steadying hand with the ball. With the Squirrels losing three other starters, he’ll have an opportunity to take on a much larger workload when it comes to handling the ball and making plays. 

Dawson Lemna, Enderlin

Enderlin’s strength is on the interior but Lemna emerged a solid point guard last year, averaging better than nine points and three assists. He is a solid long-range shooter and with teams likely loading up the paint to try
