Carter has really made a name for himself. These past 6- 8 months Carter has really matured and elevated his game. Carter has a big body and he has grown physically. The biggest jump in his game is his athletic ability and coordination. Carter went from possible D1 JUCO player to LM/MM Division 1 player with some solid offers and options. Carter could possibly join his brother at UC Irvine and both play together in the near future. Carter is going to be a huge part in the success that Corner Canyon will have this season. He will be a great leader for some of the young talent they will have on their roster. He will also provide openings when doubled for some of those talented guards they have as well. Carter will not have an easy time this year as he will have a solid player to compete with almost every night this season especially in region play.
(#10) 6’9 Cameron Brimhall Cameron Brimhall 6'8" | PF Lone Peak | 2021 State UT (Lone Peak/Jimmer Elite)
Cameron is an underrated big with a strength. Last season the Lone Peak Center looked great in the state tournament and although older doesn’t mean better, Cameron has put some solid work in. A few colleges took notice as he received an offer from UC San Diego and Dixie State. Cameron is a workhorse in the paint and is solid out in the perimeter. He has a good back to the basket game and a good face-up game as well. While a few of his counterparts have also received offers in his region, look for some battles too ensue. Cameron has some LM talet at the moment but that can change in a hurry.
(#11) 6’11 Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT (Layton/Cache Valley Elite)
Preston is another player that has been under the radar for some time. His high and arm length alone is something to see but his ability to actually step out and have a defender actually have to cover him do far out open up the paint for others. Preston has a nice offer from Virginia Tech as he has been able to display enough talent to get notice by some HM schools. His pick n’ pop ability is dangerous not only because he can hit the pop but because he sets some solid screens. He has a nice game that has developed over the years from the high post position as well. Look for Preston to rack up some more offers.
(#12) 6’2 Noa Gonsalves Noa Gonsalves 6'2" | PG Lehi | 2021 State UT (Lehi/Empire)
A few days ago Noa decided to take his talents to one of the top Division 1 JUCO’s locally as he will attend College of Southern Idaho (CSI). This is a great find for CSI as they were able to steer him away from a school like Snow College that is local. Noa is explosive at the rim and is a smooth player with the ball in his hands. He plays well off the ball and has an unselfish game. He has good range as he can pull in various ways from deep. When defenders come out too far he blows by then and he is fantastic in the open floor as he usually makes the right decisions. There is no reason why Noa doesn’t end up at a solid Division 1 school after his stint at CSI.
(#13) 6’5 Robert Whaley Robert Whaley 6'5" | PF Bountiful | 2021 State UT (Bountiful/Jimmer Elite)
Last season we sat with a few college coaches as they watched “Boi Boi” play and they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Robert is an athlete that’s big and strong, with some crazy athletic ability. He has had the Head coach of the University of Utah offer him a football position even though he hasn’t taken a high school snap. He is a position-ess player because he can really hold his own against players that are taler than him and he will dominate anyone smaller than him. He can easily move high school players off the block. He is a solid free-throw shooter as well as he often times get’s fouled as well.
