Last weekend in the Bronx the New York Gauchos kicked off their Roundball Classic which will be held from September 24th-November 8th. The league will host some of the best high school prospects from New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey. If the match-ups over the weekend were any indication of what's to expect this should be one of the best leagues in the area.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Below are some of the prospects who stood out over the weekend. </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Issac Gonzalez | 6'0" | Club Team: Share the Ball</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The Iona Prep point guard came out electric to start the event. The 2022 prospect controlled tempo throughout. He impressed with his court vision and decision-making ability. Gonzalez competed on the defensive end anticipating passing lanes causing a number deflections. He finished the game with 8 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals. </p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Greene, like his Iona Prep counterpart, started the league with a strong output. The 6'4" shooting guard showcased his scoring versatility along with his ability to draw fouls. He finished with a team-high 23 points and 10 rebounds. </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Jason Rivera | 6'5" | Club Team: Share the Ball</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The wiry Iona Prep combo guard put his complete skill set on display. He made a number of plays as a facilitator and scorer. Like Gonzalez, he was aggressive defensively, disrupting the opponents' offensive game plan. Rivera contributed 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a win.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">CJ Riley | 6'0" | Club Team: Cox All Stars</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">CJ raised his play to another level in a highly competitive contest, he refused to let the team lose in their opener. The 2022 Wings Academy point guard showcased his ability to be a solid two-way player. He finished the game with 6 steals along with a game-high of 26 points, while going 10-10 from the line. </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">[player_tooltip player_id="1045927" first="Noah" last="Best"] | 6'6" | Club Team: MSM Yankees</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Best, who currently attends Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx, has begun to carve out a reputation for himself in the tri-state area. The 6'6" combo guard currently holds a number of offers including Illinois, Hofstra, Manhattan, Rider, and St. Peter's, just to name a few. He connected on 5 threes finishing the day with 21 points.</p>
