The Big Shots Southeast Showdown brought out some new talent to keep an eye out for. Here’s a look at some new names that stood out this past weekend.

Bynum was impressive at the Big Shots Southeast Showdown, knocking down a total of 10 3-pointers while averaging 19.0 ppg at the combo guard position. He used his size and handles well to navigate the wing and get to his spots on the perimeter. He led the Mint Hill Lakers to the 17U Orange Championship game alongside Chance MorrowChanceMorrow6'6" | SFWest Charlotte | 2022NC, another name you’ll get to know. Bynum is an impressive guard with size that posting 19 points and five 3-pointers in the title game, despite the loss. He’ll be a name to keep an eye on at Carmel Christian.

Cam GatesCamGates6'0" | CGNorth Mecklenburg | 2021NC - Primetime Elite - 6’0 Guard

Gates was one of the standouts in the backcourt for Primetime Elite as they pushed Moravian Prep National to the brink in one of the early games of the weekend. He went off for 28 points on six made 3-pointers and four made field goals, showing off his ability
