With so many variables that could be the cause of some of these players not receiving offers, need, style of play or simply timing. We look at a list of next level talent that will land on a team in due time.
Guards
With so many next level guards we take a look at these three:
6’2 Noa Gonsalves Noa Gonsalves 6'2" | PG Lehi | 2021 State UT
The Lehi guard had a fantastic year last season and played exceptionally well when he suited up this summer as well. Noa is a player that can really morph his game to any style. He can get up and down in a hurry but still play with composure. He can slow it down and get his team into. set or play off-guard and let the game come to him. Quick first step that allows him space to get to the rim but also keep a defender off balance with a nice pull-up game. Shoots well from deep but will likely get better this up-coming year. Explosive in the open floor with some exceptional athleticism. Noa could be flirting with some of these LM Division 1 schools.
6’1 Jordan Toscano Jordan Toscano 6'1" | PG Bingham | 2021 State UT
It seems as though Jordan has been suiting up for Bingham for more than 4 years now. Jordan is a clever player that uses his IQ to assess the defense and is a great vocal leader that can direct traffic. He has an unselfish game as he is always looking to make those around him better and he does. Jordan makes that extra pass. The tenacious defender is not afraid to pick up full-court as he excels at both ends of the floor. Jordan can hit from long range and that mid-range as well.
6’3 Brennan Rigsby Brennan Rigsby 6'2" | CG Wasatch Academy | 2021 State UT
One of the most athletic guards in the country at only 6’3, Brennan is more than a viral dunker who wows the crowd with his pre-game dunk show. Brennan can actually translate his athletic ability and produce on the floor. he is quick off the dribble and has a good outside game. He has the quickness and ability to finish over defenders and beat the rotation before they can affect him getting tot he basket.
Bigs:
6’9 Hunter Phillips Hunter Phillips 6'9" | C Westlake | 2021 State UT
The Westlake big has really put in a lot of work this off-season working on his body and athleticism getting up and down the floor. Hunter is solid on either block and his length really allows him to finish over players his size or taller. He has some good moves in his post game. He has been working on the 15-foot jumper and his trail end 3- ball. Look for Hunter to really prove himself as he will face some stiff competition in region play. It will be a proving point every game.
Others:
6’6 Jackson Holcombe Jackson Holcombe 6'6" | CG Timpanogos | 2021 State UT
Jackson has a multi-use game. He can bring the ball up or play SG. His size also allows him to defend the 4. While he can play 1-4 he can really score the ball. Look for Jackson to really make a name for himself and turn some college coaches heads.
