He had ages 15U-17U playing 4 games each in the two days. many of the top AZ AAU programs were involved plus one mystery team with a lot of talent that played just for the weekend.
Here were some of the sophomore standouts :
Trey Brown Trey Brown 6'7" | SF Phhoenix Prep | 2023 State AZ Phhoenix Prep (Swish Everything) (Pictured)
-A growing guard who moves fast with the ball in his hands and has a nice handle. He has an impressive floater and takes long strides around the court with his speed. He can step into a 3pt shot and has an easy FT stroke but is best currently as a slasher. He is good defensively as a rebounder and shot blocker for a guard.
Bryce Ford Bryce Ford 6'2" | CG Pinnacle | 2023 State AZ Pinnacle (Firestorm 15 Gold)
-A lethal 3pt shooter. The lefty is becoming one of the better ones in the class. He has super fast release and he is consistent with it. He can create a little for himself but is best off the catch. His consistency and confidence are very high shooting the ball. He moves well and he will mostly likely lead the Pioneers in scoring this season as only a soph.
Khalon Johnson Khalon Johnson 6'4" | CG Eduprize Gilbert | 2024 State AZ Shadow Mountain (Firestorm 15 Gold)
-A long and lean guard who has nice speed and can score a variety of ways. He knows when to cut, he can hit the catch-3 and create his own shot. He is a good passer and is a very competitive player who plays with emotion.
Ryan Ginsberg Ryan Ginsberg 6'1" | PG Desert Mountain | 2023 State AZ Desert Mountain (Arizona Dream 16)
-A better showing since last camp. He shot the ball better from deep and controlled the tempo. He hit multiple 3’s in almost every game played and facilitated like a PG should. He has a very professional approach and does his job.
Adrien Armstrong Adrien Armstrong 6'5" | SF Carl Hayden | 2023 State AZ (Carl Hayden) (PAL Elite 15)
-One of the more versatile forwards in the class. He plays almost every position for his team and can defend every single one as well. He is very long and athletic and is a very good shot blocker in and out of his area. He can take the ball off the glass and push the rock for a transition bucket. A quick-twitched athlete that is a perfect glue guy for his team. He can also create his own shot with a nice handle.
Masaiah Binford Masaiah Binford 6'4" | SF Ascending Life Prep | 2023 State AZ (South Mountain) (PAL Elite 15)
-A super long forward who moves well. He works mostly in the paint but can face-up and hit the 3pt shot. He is a little skinny but has a good motor to rebound and block shots. He makes his move quickly and he can take a couple of long strides and get to the rim and finish. He is active on the glass and him and Armstrong form a tough duo.
