Asa Thomas Asa Thomas 6'6" | SF Lake Forest | 2023 State #91 Nation IL (Lake Forest – 2023)
Thomas already checks in at #6 in the 2023 rankings and he looked every bit the part. In our first eval of him since late in the high school season the 6’6” shooting guard was absolutely lethal with his three point shooting. Hit five of them in the scrimmage. Has excellent size, a high release, and it gets off so quickly. Thomas has elite size for position. Also showcased a decent passing feel in this contest. Big time prospect!
Sonny Williams Sonny Williams 6'1" | PG International Sports Academy | 2023 OH (Niles Notre Dame – 2023)
Williams continues to see his stock rise. This is the third or fourth time we have evaluated him in the last couple months and he just keeps getting better and better. The Niles Notre Dame point guard is silky smooth with everything he does. Capable shooter hitting a three early in the game. It was his slippery drives that really stood out as he won off the dribble for acrobatic scores at the cup. Creativity as a passer especially in the drive and kick.
Cameron Christie Cameron Christie 6'4" | SG Rolling Meadows | 2023 State #76 Nation IL (Rolling Meadows – 2023)
Christie had a solid showing including shining on the defensive end. He recorded quite a few steals cutting passing lanes and taking them the other way for buckets. Also blocked a jump shot. Really good in transition with his ball handling in the open floor.
Brayden Long Brayden Long 6'4" | SF Yorkville Christian | 2023 State IL (Yorkville Christian – 2023)
Long is a strong bodied guard that brings toughness and skill to the table. Drilled a three off the catch. He had a sweet spinning runner, but was actually most effective showing off his passing including long outlets and quality decisions in the half court.
Khalil Ross Khalil Ross 6'6" | SF Brother Rice | 2023 State IL (Lincoln Way East – 2023)
Love the projectability with Ross. The long and angular small forward presents considerable upside moving forward. Drilled multiple threes including one coming off a ball screen. Ball comes out of his hand so easy. Covers ground in a few strides on straight line takes to the hoop. Crashed the glass for a put back as well.
Chris Martin (Mundelein – 2023)
Martin is a 6’6” four man that is powerful around the hoop. Got on the glass for a put back and scored on an out of bounds play. His biggest value in this game was actually on the glass as a volume rebounder. Beast on the glass!
Xavier Sulaiman Xavier Sulaiman 6'3" | SG Oak Lawn | 2023 State IL (Marist – 2023)
The Marist combo guard has had a strong showing this summer. Uber smooth guard that makes it look effortless at times. He connected on four threes in the game including pulling up behind a ball screen for one. Creativity off the bounce getting to the cup for layups/runners.
Troy Cicero (Joliet Central – 2023)
Point guard that is one to definitely continue to monitor. Quick ball handler that wins off the bounce making plays in the lane for himself and others. Also drilled a nice looking three.
Ben Moser (Loyola – 2023)
Moser is a 6’3” wing from Loyola that pushes in transition and gets after it on the defensive end. Strong build.
Foster Ogbonna (Rolling Meadows – 2023)
We saw Ogbonna during the high school season and were intrigued. The 6’4” combo forward is a thick bodied prospect that plays with a high-motor. Runs the floor hard in transition, can put it on the deck slashing from the wing, handles well in the open floor, and rebounds at a high rate.
Wyatt Thompson (Dwight – 2023)
Thompson is a strong bodied forward that hit a three from the wing, was fouled when he took his man to the post, and had a powerful baseline take.
Tyler Van Gorp (New Trier – 2023)
Liked the progression we saw from scrimmage #1 to scrimmage #2 with Van Gorp. The 6’10” five man is thin, but in this game he didn’t get pushed around. Rebounded very well in traffic using his length to high point them. Couple of put backs, hit a baseline jumper, ran the floor for a bucket and toward the end drilled a pick/pop three.
