ATX Lockdown 2022 took home the Great American Shootout (GASO) Fort Worth Championship this past weekend with a 67-64 win over the Texas Gators 2021 in the NBA division. ATX Lockdown went undefeated (4-0) in the tournament, with some impressive wins over 3D Empire 16u (75-61), West Texas Blazers 17u (54-50), Texas Playmakerz (57-56), and the aforementioned Texas Gators. In this article, we highlight Lockdown's top performers over the weekend who helped the team win the NBA GASO Championship.


Top Performers

Johnson was unstoppable over the course of the tournament, averaging 17.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, with his top performance coming against the West Texas Blazers in form of a double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds). Johnson is a consistent and highly efficient scorer who can beat defenses in a multitude of ways. He is strong when attacking the basket and can also hit shots from beyond-the-arc. A dependable free-throw shooter. Does a great job of grabbing boards from the wing position. Johnson was a key contributor in the championship win with 17 points.
