Washington Supreme Purple headed down to Phoenix, Arizona for the End of Summer Showcase put on by National Scout, Gerry Freitas. The group wound up finishing 4-0 behind some solid performances by several players that are all still available for the next level. 

The team was led in scoring by class of 2021 guard, 3.9 GPA high academic student from Emerald Ridge, 6’1" Connor DrinkwineConnorDrinkwine5'11" | SGEmerald Ridge | 2021StateWA. Drinkwine continued to reinforce his reputation as a deep range shooter as he averaged 15 points per contest, scorching the net at 48% from long range. 

2021 6’5 Jalen BarbeeJalenBarbee6'5" | SGFranklin Pierce | 2021StateWA (Franklin Pierce HS) was another standout. The 6’5" senior, also a high academic student, was the ultimate stat sheet filler over the weekend. His length and athleticism allowed him to get to the rim in the open floor, block shots, rebound and cover the rim with a variety of put back dunks. Barbee’s most impressive feat was when he totaled 18 rebounds in a single game. He finished the weekend averaging a double double at 14 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
