It also featured several talented wing players. In this article, PH takes a look at some of the top Wings from the event.
Nigel Burris 6’6 SF Team Arsenal 2021 (#20PHSC 2021) – Burris is a smooth scorer that does a little bit of everything. He plays with good patience, finishes well in transition and can create shots for himself.
Caleb Nelson Caleb Nelson 6'7" | SF Carlsbad | 2021 State CA-S 6’6 SF Coastal Elite Slayers 2021 (#58PHSC 2021) – Nelson is a knock down shooter with underrated athletic ability. He had a nice crossover, that he finished with a thunderous dunk, just to highlight the point.
Sean Johnson 6’6 SF D1 New Mexico 2021 – Johnson played well. His agility and size made him tough to stop when playing downhill. Not a natural shooter, but he did mange to knock down several 3’s on the weekend.
Malik Thomas Malik Thomas 6'3" | SG Damien | 2021 State #99 Nation CA-S 6’3 SG Team Build Up 2021 (#6PHSC 2021) – Thomas just moves like a high major guy. He played with a supreme confidence, creating space off the dribble, while spraying 3’s from all over the floor.
Isaiah Broady Isaiah Broady 6'8" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2021 State AZ 6’8 SF Firestorm Nation 2021 (#7PHA 2021) – I thought Broady was one of the top sleepers at the event. He’s every bit of 6’8 and is tremendous with the ball in his hands. Broady routinely created his own shot off the bounce, easily separating from defenders with quick COD’s.
Daunte Johnson 6’5 SF Team Grr 2021 – The lefty plays with a good Motor and is an explosive R&J athlete. Offensively he is more of a 4, but he defends 2’s and 3’s well.
Tyson Degenhart 6’8 SF Washington Supreme 2021 (#6PHW 2021) – Was probably the top player at the event all week. He just understands how to score the basketball. Degarhart isn’t going to blow you away with one single skill, but there’s not one you can point to as a weakness.
