It also featured a ton of dudes with bounce. In this article, PH takes a look at some of the top Run and Jump athletes from the event.
Ringo Aguek Ringo Aguek 6'7" | SF Ironwood | 2022 State AZ 6’5 SF Team Zona 2022 (#14PHA 2022) – Aguek, stays on the rim. Super quick, bouncy athlete, He gets more in game dunks than any wing player I have seen this summer.
Elijah Saunders Elijah Saunders 6'8" | PF Sunnyslope | 2022 State AZ 6’8 PF The Show 2022 (#6PHA 2022) (featured image) – Saunders doesn’t have the most aerodynamic of body types, but he can certainly fly. A powerful jumper with good explosiveness off the ground
Wayne McKinney Wayne McKinney 5'10" | PG Coronado | 2021 State CA-S 6’0 PG Coastal Elite Slayers 2021 (#22PHA 2022) – If basketball doesn’t work out, McKinney might end up being a hall of fame running back. The physical guard specimen, is ubber quick, gets off the ground with explosion and can finish with power.
Russell Van Bebber 6’6 SF Seattle Select 2022 – RVB is one of the players I will be taking a long look at on film. Jaw dropping athlete who caught my attention with some ridiculous warm up dunks. His athleticism translated into the game as well. Van Bebber showed a quick 1st and 2nd jump and the ability to finish at the rim.
Martin Gumwall 6’11 C Gamepoint Elite c/o 2023 – Gumwall definitely passes the eye test. Long arms and a muscular physique, allows the young 7fter to explode to the rim. His athleticism doesn’t just show up in dunks either. Gumwall plays extremely hard routinely beating everyone to the floor for lose balls.
Sean Johnson 6’6 SF D1 New Mexico 2022 – Johnson is an athletic wing that floats on his way to the basket. Showed explosive 1 footed leaping ability as he finished plays with several powerful dunks.
Nate Pickens Nate Pickens 6'3" | CG Az Compass | 2022 State AZ 6’2 CG The Show 2022 (#8PHA 2022) – Pickens checks both the run and jump boxes, lighting quick guard that gets off the floor equally as fast.
Nathan Calmese Nathan Calmese 6'2" | PG Mesquite | 2022 State AZ 6’0 PG Legends 2022 (#5PHA 2022) – I’m not sure if Calmese is in the same category of athlete as these other guys, but he had a sick two handed jam off a lighting quick crossover.
