As the AAU season is wrapping up, there were players looking to make a name for themselves. Here are some guards to keep on your radar.
Malachi Palmer– 2024- SG Central Dauphin High School
One in particular was Standout 6’3 upcoming Freshman Shooting Guard Malachi Palmer. The freshman led his Team Final Red squad to the Championship Game where he scored a team high 21 points, with a mix of 3 pointers, dunks, and pull up jumpers. This upcoming season, Malachi will be attending Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, PA were he will be looking to step right in as a starter.
Kenyon Elliott- SG- 2021- Bishop McDevitt High School
Standing at 6’3, Kenyon is a strong combo guard who will be looking to dominate the Mid-Penn Conference during his senior year. He can cover multiple positions and can score the ball with his jump shot or athleticism to get above the rim. Kenyon will also excel in the transition game primarily because of his court vision.
Ryan Smith Ryan Smith 6'2" | SG Central Dauphin | 2021 State PA – SG-2021- Central Dauphin High School
Ryan has nice size to be a shooting guard. He can really flat out shoot the ball. He played very well during the tournament knocking down shots from the perimeter. He also displayed a willingness to defend on the other end of the court making him a name to remember.
Michael Dickerson- PG-2021- Dallastown High School
Michael is a 5’10 quick and shifty guard that can get through many defenses. He displayed quick hands on defense during the weekend tournament. Mike hit a big 3-pointer to send his AAU team to the championship game. He is not afraid of the big moment.
Alex Cercado- PG-2022- Bethlehem Catholic High School
Alex is a pure playmaker. At 5’11, he can create shots for himself and his teammates primarily because of his quickness and ball handling. Over the course of the weekend, Alex displayed his will to win by leading his Team Final Red squad to the championship game. This upcoming season he will be looking to do the same for Bethlehem Catholic.
