The players were selected by their performances over the 2 Day event which included 3 camp games. There was roughly 250 participants. NorCal had 58 to 60 rostered players who made the trip. This group played in the Top 60 Game.
Kodey Weary Kodey Weary 6'6" | SF Coronado NV | 2023 NV 6’6 Forward, Weston Ranch (Stockton, CA)
Weary seems to be on a good path, he’s filled out a bit looking stronger with those broad shoulders, and he might add a another inch or two. Weary is an intriguing prospect with a good upside who can effect the game in many ways. His long wingspan and activity in the post area was noticeable. He has nice touch off the glass, and a solid jump shot in the key. Weary was active on the boards, defended pretty well and changed some shots with his length. He’s a rising prospect in California.
Logan Steuben 6’7 Forward, Inderkum (Sacramento, CA)
Steuben had himself a good weekend, he played his way into the Top 60 game. Like many of the prospect in this class 2023, they’re still growing and developing their skill set. Steuben’s offensive skills aren’t there yet, but he did take it strong from the baseline, and properly executed the pick and roll with solid screens. His activity in other areas were noticeable. He was strong and aggressive going after rebounds, he defended well in the post area, blocking and changing some shots. He’s a stock riser.
Derek Lamb Derek Lamb 6'6" | PF Whitney | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 Forward Oakmont (Roseville, CA)
Lamb has good size, he’s long, tall, and ran the floor pretty well at this event. He made every effort to be active while on the floor. He was engaged and moved at a good pace. He was aggressive going after blocks, he hit the offensive boards. He’ll be more efficient, and effective around the basket when he adds some muscle. He did hit the short jumper from the baseline.

6’1 Guard Granite Bay (Granite Bay, CA)
Mir competed at this camp two weeks ago against the c/o 21,22. He picked up where he left off. He’s active on both ends of the court, offensively looking to knock down a long range three pointer, and working hard to defend on the other. A consistent performer at this event both weekends.
Derek Sangster Derek Sangster 6'7" | SF Archbishop Mitty | 2023 State #213 Nation CA-N 6’5 Forward, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA)
Sangster’s body is filling out nicely, he’s a good mover without the ball, cutting and slashing through the key. He hit the face up jumper, and the turn around jumper in the key. he did okay posting his man up, he seems to work well from the free throw area and in. He was active on the boards. I’ll see more of him.
Eric Brown 6’6 Forward Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Ca)
Brown participated at this event two weeks ago against older players. He showed more of his game against this group. Brown has good fundamental skills, a good understanding of the game, and uses the tools he has to be effective. He’s going to have to speed things up, and strengthen his body. He has a good shot from 12 feet in, he’ll take the 3. He works hard in the post area defending and going after rebounds. I’ll get the opportunity to see more of him.
Amari Davis 6’6 Wing Grant Union (Sacramento, CA)
Davis, a solid body, that’s going to get stronger, he and Ty Virgil were the only two players from NorCal c/o 2024 to play their way into the Top 60 contest. (Virgil could’ve played in the Top 30 Game) Davis offensively spent most of his time on the wings/perimeter determined to establish himself as a player who can play away from the basket. At 6’6 in the c/o 2024 he has time to develop those kind of skills. He didn’t hesitate to shoot the three pointer when he had the opportunity, he spotted up well on the corner three, he made a few. He rebounded well, with good outlet passes to start the break. He defended and changed some shots in the post area. He’s one to watch. He’s on Wright’s watch list.
