Team CLT 2022 Guard AJ Smith AJ Smith 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2022 State NC : Very impressive showing from this young man, he scored the ball in bunches and has made improvements on his body over the last year. His first step is quicker and he seems to be stronger overall when embracing contact. His shooting ability is another attribute that should not be overlooked, he doesn’t need a ton of time to get his shot off and is efficient.
Team Curry 2021 Guard Jamarii Thomas Jamarii Thomas 6'1" | PG The Burlington School | 2021 State NC : Taking home the division MVP honors, he helped to lead his team to winning the championship with outstanding play on both ends of the floor. In one of the more highly anticipated matchups with Team Charlotte we saw him: Score, rebound, defend & facilitate all at a high level. The toughness that he plays with is something that can’t be taught, he never backs down from a challenge and brings max effort at all times.
Team Curry 2021 Forward Ian Schiefflein: His combination of skill and size makes him a very intriguing prospect. He’s 6’8 with the ability to knock down shots from midrange and three point land but he also battles inside really well with other opposing bigs. One of the more impressive attributes he displayed was his passing, he was a playmaker from the high post which helped his team to get easy buckets.
Team CLT 2021 Guard Kris Robinson Kris Robinson 5'11" | SG Combine Academy | 2021 State NC : He’s one of those players that is not afraid of the moment at all, he takes big shots and makes big shots. Whether it’s off the catch or creating for himself off the dribble, he’s efficient with his shooting and doesn’t need a ton of space to get his shot off.
Triangle Flight 2021 Trey Barker: His team was able to make a nice run, reaching the championship before losing to The Columbia Hoyas. One of the reasons they were able to make this run was because of his scoring, he put together some big time scoring performances, finishing as one of the leading scorers in the yellow division.
Mid-State Elite 2021 Guard Jack Brown: Another player that showed he could flat out shoot the ball from three point land, he averaged over 20 points for his team over the weekend. It doesn’t take much for him to get going, he moves well without the ball and has solid footwork which helps him to set his feet and his get his shot off smoothly.
