Birdwell was a reliable two-way player for Power throughout the summer, utilizing his versatile skill-set to make his presence known to opposing teams. Talley showcased a number of skills with the Hawks’ pick-and-role schemes. An athletic interior presence, Talley used his elevation to pick up rebounds, defend the paint and score above the rim. His energetic, consistent play was also pivotal for the Hawks in late games.
Journee was excellent for PWP as its go-to interior scoring presence. His athletic, high-flying play made defenders think twice about putting themselves between him and the basket, while his iQ helped him to drive, make off-ball moves, rebound and more. One of the biggest stock-risers of the summer, Journee is primed for a major senior year.
Mann starred alongside his high school teammate, Journee, in the interior for PWP with an emphasis on the defensive side of the floor. He took care of the rim, keeping opposing posts and slashing guards from putting the ball in the basket and helping to start possessions.
Hurd was an impressive interior player for Hustle. His coaches commended his strength, hands and vision, while his post-scoring game is an indispensable facet of his game, as well. Hurd has a smooth mid-range, as well, and can even do some work from the perimeter, and his passing from the post is an underrated skill of his.
