Over the next week I am taking time to look back on a wild grassroots summer and comment on the development of some key players on each team. In our second installment of Iowa AAU team analysis, we have Kingdom Hoops 17U. If you missed our first post on the topic, you can find that here

Payton’s game has grown very nicely over the past year. This summer he displayed a more refined post game. He punishes mismatches and wastes no time once he has the advantage. He is very quick at getting into his pull up jumper. The threat of it helps him get to the basket more, where he’s finishing at a higher clip. Stanford has entered the picture, joining Iowa, Drake, Minnesota, and Utah as major D1 offers. I suspect many more will be calling if Payton caps off his college career with a standout senior season.

To sum up my analysis of Chase in a sentence: I want him on my basketball team. He is active and locked in on both ends of the floor on nearly every possession. He
