Some prospects elevated their games over the summer and are ready to have huge junior campaigns. Here are the top stock risers from the updated 2022 rankings.
Ryan Curry Ryan Curry 6'0" | PG Montgomery | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 PG Montgomery
No lead guard prospect in the 2022 class improved his stock more than Curry did this summer. The 6’0 floor general is a tremendous passer and plays extremely unselfish. Curry has a good handle as he routinely got into the lane to make plays for the Jersey Force 16U team. He is a knockdown shooter from behind the arc and can play at any pace. Curry’s ability to control the pace of the game makes him a point guard prospect to watch in Somerset County this season.
Darren Tuck Darren Tuck 6'4" | SG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ , 6’4 SG Immaculata
Tuck had a tremendous summer for the NJ Panthers 16U squad as he showed his ability to be a go-to scorer on the perimeter. The 6’4 guard knows how to beat his man off the bounce and can finish through contact. Tuck is more than just a slasher as he is capable of knocking down jumpers from behind the arc. He uses his length to good effect on the defensive end and knows how to push the ball in transition. Tuck is a skilled scoring guard who should have a breakout campaign for Immaculata.
Everton Browne Everton Browne 6'0" | PG St. Benedict's | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 PG St. Benedict’s
Browne may come off the bench for the Grey Bees, but his ability to score points in bunches makes him one of the top six men in the Garden State. The 6’0 guard is lightning quick with the ball in his hands and is hard to contain off the bounce. Browne is a crafty finisher around the basket and is not afraid of contact. He is more than just a scorer as he is also capable of running the offense. Browne’s scoring ability makes him the perfect fit for a talented St. Benedict’s team.
David Luberoff David Luberoff 6'9" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Midland Park
Luberoff had a big summer for the NJ Beasts 16U team, which caused his stock to rise. The 6’8 forward has a nice touch around the basket and drew contact consistently throughout the summer. Luberoff also has a nice release on his jumper and can handle the ball on the perimeter. He is a tough rebounder down low and is one of the top shot-blockers in the 2022 class. Luberoff is a talented stretch four who should continue to put up big numbers for Midland Park this season.
Logan Howland Logan Howland 6'7" | PF Hun | 2023 NJ , 6’8 PF Westfield
Howland is one of the more underrated players in Union County and had a big summer for Unity Legends. The 6’8 forward plays with good footwork down low and uses his strong frame to muscle shots through contact. Howland can also step away from the basket and knock down mid-range jumpers. He gobbles up rebounds down low and talks on defense. Howland is ready for a big junior season for Westfield as the Blue Devils look to build on their 21-win season from 2019-20.
