There where a lot of new players who hopped onto our radars over the summer and guys we have heard of who showed massive improvements. Here are our picks for the biggest stock boosters of the summer for the class of 2022.
Jackson Brennan Jackson Brennan 6'3" | CG ThunderRidge | 2022 State CO – ThunderRidge
Jackson Brennan Jackson Brennan 6'3" | CG ThunderRidge | 2022 State CO was someone we knew as a shooter before this summer but showed us he is much more. Jackson is someone who you can run off of screens to get jumpers from outside and once he is hitting it opens up much more of his game. He is someone who scores on all three levels, with a good floater/ mid range game and he attacks the rim with aggression. Despite being a lengthy 6’2 Jackson was one of the best offensive rebounders on his team, when he flips a switch he straight up just wants to out hustle everyone on the court. Jackson also on the defensive end is very scrappy, which makes him a pestering presence but sometimes can get him into a little bit of foul trouble. Jackson is someone who does not backdown from competition and is definitely a name to get to know.
Jayden Washington Jayden Washington 6'5" | PF Eaglecrest | 2022 State CO – Eaglecrest
Jayden Washington Jayden Washington 6'5" | PF Eaglecrest | 2022 State CO is someone who had a very impressive summer and playing above his age group. With Colorado Mayhems 17U team Jayden was a problem for other 17U teams to stop. Standing at 6’6 he has great height but moves like wing, which makes him a big match up problem. When he has a smaller defender on him he can post up and if he has a big on him he can take them off of the dribble. Jayden also has good footwork when driving to the rim and a good euro step he often goes to. He also has a good turn around jumper he can go to in the mid range. Jayden is a player who has high upside and could have a big step up numbers at Eaglecrest this year.
Drew Reichart Drew Reichart 6'5" | PF Doherty | 2022 State CO – Doherty
Drew Reichart Drew Reichart 6'5" | PF Doherty | 2022 State CO is someone I did not know much about going into the summer and was a pleasant surprise. Andrew has great size for a power forward at 6’6 and is very strong which allows him to finish through heavy contact. He is also someone who boxes out very well and grabs boards with ease. Grabbing boards allows him to pick up easy points by cleaning the offensive boards. He can also stretch the floor a little bit with a good jumper for mid range. Andrew is also a good defender who uses his length to bother smaller players and when guarding bigger guys his strength allows him to bother them.
Brock Mishak Brock Mishak 6'3" | CG Fossil Ridge | 2022 State CO – Fossil Ridge
Brock Mishak Brock Mishak 6'3" | CG Fossil Ridge | 2022 State CO is someone who looked like one of the best scorers in this class this summer. Brock is a player who can score from all three levels. He has a deep bag of tricks to get his buckets. Brock is someone who strives off of his triple threat and jab, having a good shot from the outside as well makes him a huge scoring threat. Brock is not super tall or athletic but finishes really well inside by weaving in and out of defenders or creating contact for tough finishes. Brock is a straight bucket who came out and was scared of no one this summer, definitely a scorer to look out for at Fossil Ridge.
Said Mobasher Said Mobasher 6'1" | CG Thomas Jefferson | 2022 CA-S – Thomas Jefferson
Said Mobasher Said Mobasher 6'1" | CG Thomas Jefferson | 2022 CA-S is someone who has that dawg mentality that can not be taught. Said played at almost every tournament, he is someone who just wants to hoop whenever he can. He is one the most tenacious defenders we have in Colorado, he is someone bothers very good guards. Said also is a good finisher in the paint, with a quick first step he can pass whoever is defending him. Said is not someone who will drop a ton of points but is someone who brings great energy onto the court and his hustle plays can change the momentum for his team.
