No. 5 Kheni Briggs Kheni Briggs 6'4" | CG The Burlington School | 2022 State NC – 6’3 Guard
Briggs is quite the two-way prospect on the hardwood, which explains his No. 5 status in the rankings. Defensively, he’s a strong guard that uses his frame well to guard multiple positions on the floor and block shots with his athleticism. He’s fun to watch when he’s on offense, but his defense is what creates most of his open court opportunities. He’ll be one to keep an eye on at AL Brown.
No. 13 Khalil Marshall Khalil Marshall 6'1" | PG Lake Norman Christian | 2022 State NC – 6’1 Guard
Marshall is one of the more underrated guards in the state, especially given his defensive prowess. He’s already a knockdown shooter and top-tier ballhandler, defensively he brings full-court pressure and an awareness that makes opposing guards uneasy whenever he’s on the floor. He’s an indispensable guard that will come in handy for Word of God in 2020-21.
No. 30 Daniel Sanford Daniel Sanford 6'8" | PF JL Chambers | 2022 State NC – 6’7 Forward
Sanford is a physically imposing forward that has a basketball-build already given his size and he embraces the physicality of the game on both ends. He works for rebounds in the paint while making his presence felt as a shot-blocker and rim protector. He was a member of a talented Vance squad in 2019-20 and returns with more to prove as a more all-around defender and rebounder on the defensive end.
No. 34 Patrick Wessler Patrick Wessler 7'0" | C Combine Academy | 2022 State #217 Nation NC – 6’10 Center
Wessler has emerged as a paint presence that can block shots and alter opposing shooters around the rim without fouling, something that’s not always easy to do for players of his size. He’s got a high IQ for rebounding the ball and being in the right position on defense that will make him one to keep an eye at Combine Academy.
No. 61 Logan Blair Logan Blair 6'5" | SF Harding University | 2022 State NC – 6’6 Forward
Blair is a versatile forward at 6-foot-6 that doesn’t have much of an issue switching across positions in the halfcourt. He’s got a solid frame already and nice length to go along with it that allows him to slide his feet with guards on the perimeter but still maintain the positioning to bang in the post for blocked shots and rebounds.
