We are very excited to see how all these players in this class will grow throughout their high school career. Here are some scorers who have already proven themselves to be guys who can get buckets!
Cameron Lowe Cameron Lowe 6'5" | SF Lewis-Palmer | 2022 State CO – Lewis Palmer
Cameron Lowe Cameron Lowe 6'5" | SF Lewis-Palmer | 2022 State CO is someone who is known as a straight bucket. He has a great shooting stroke from the outside and is someone you do not want to leave open; he can shoot set shots and off the dribble with a good set of moves to get his feet set for good shots. The most intriguing part of his game is combination of size and body control, he is a solid 6’5 and has great body control when finishing around the rim. He also has a good handle on the ball, which allows him to weave between defenders to find his shot. With all these skills and size Cameron is a player college have to keep an eye on.
Joey Billelo- Thunderridge
Joey Billelo is a player who has one the highest upsides in the state right now. Standing at 6’7, Joey is a do it all player. He has a nice stroke from mid range and the three point line, also can put the ball on the floor and take in slower bigs off the dribble. Joey also has a good back to the basket game, using his wide frame and good footwork to get finesse buckets around the rim. Also on the defensive end he can guard multiple positions and uses his length to be a rim protector. One of the best parts of Joey’s game is that he is not concerned about how much scores rather doing what is best to help his team win. Joey had a big stock boosting summer despite being injured for a good while and I would not be surprised at all if he just keeps getting better.
Kyle Sandler Kyle Sandler 6'7" | SF Hargrave Military Academy | 2022 State CO – Regis Jesuit
Kyle Sandler Kyle Sandler 6'7" | SF Hargrave Military Academy | 2022 State CO has been one of my favorite players to watch play because he straight up hustles! Kyle helped Regis on their dark horse playoff run last year, and he was not putting up huge numbers every night but has a huge impact on the defensive end. He can guard almost every position on the court, and I have seen him lock up some D1 talent type players. Kyle also has one of the best set jumpers in the state and once he is hot from the outside is hard to stop. Another underrated ability of his is his passing, I have seen make some crazy full court passes hitting cutting teammates. Kyle is a player to look out for this year with a talented Regis team.
Jordan McKay Jordan McKay 6'3" | SF Liberty | 2022 State CO – Liberty
Jordan McKay Jordan McKay 6'3" | SF Liberty | 2022 State CO was one of the top scorers in his class last season. He had a great stat line putting up 14.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks a game. Jordan is a great athlete who plays football as well, and you can see that bulk helps him out on the court. He is a great athlete but has an underrated feel for the game. Jordan finishes well at the rim, has a really good stroke from mid range, and does not force many bad shots. He is such a good finisher because he has good footwork and takes long strides to get good positioning around the rim. Also on the defensive end Jordan can take on some of the states best players, his good footwork combined with long reach makes him a problem for whoever he is guarding. Jordan with those numbers in his sophomore season and after a good summer is definitely someone to look out for to put up big numbers this year.
Andrew Scott Andrew Scott 6'4" | SG Silver Creek | 2022 State CO – Silver Creek
Andrew Scott Andrew Scott 6'4" | SG Silver Creek | 2022 State CO is another guy who had a great sophomore season. He averaged 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds a game. Andrew is a lengthy player who strives at shooting from either the three point line or mid range. Standing at 6’5 he also does not mid get dirty in the paint to grab some rebounds. But the best part of his game is his jumper which opens up more scoring opportunities for him off of the pump fake. Andrew can finish well at the rim and once he grows into body more and starts driving with more aggression he has shown at times, he will be a big problem for opposing teams. I can see Andrew having a big season this year, look out.
