Several players were expected to make big leaps in the rankings this summer going into their junior seasons, here are a few of those recruits that rose in the ranks and will continue to rise during the high school season.

High flyer equipped with one of, if not the highest vertical leaps in the state. Weddington put everybody on notice this past summer with his outstanding play in each tournament he participated in. He’s an incredibly productive two-player that can be a game-changer in several different ways. Christian is our biggest stock risers of the summer, his stock began rising as soon as the AAU season started, lifting himself up a whole 26 spots from his previous ranking. I can guarantee you coaches are going to love this young man, he’s an A-Honor Roll student that prides himself on being a true student-athlete and a pillar of the community.

C.J. Booker | Point Guard | Irving MacArthur High School |
On one hand, C.J. Booker is one of the more underrated players, on the other hand he’s one of the most exciting and electrifying players of his class to watch. As a sophomore he stood out amongst a team made up of mostly seniors, averaging 14 points per game while knocking down over 90 three-pointers on the season. Booker’s an insanely gifted shot-creator and shot maker with dangerous range and blow-by speed, C.J. can shoot it from any spot on the floor, and always seems ready to make a play. C.J. Booker recently made a transfer from Arlington Seguin to MacArthur High School where he’ll be teaming up with the best players in Irving Texas.

, the top multi-sport athlete in the city, one of the best at his positions in both basketball and football. Black’s playmaking skills are top-notch, some of the best I witnessed all summer, an excellent facilitator that can drop dimes on a consistent basis. Not many players are capable and energetic enough to contribute across the board like

. He’s coming off a season where he averaged 10 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, numbers we know will shoot up seeing as though two of their top-scoring players graduated after last season. Black proved to be one of the top all-around prospects in Texas and possibly the nation as he dominated the summer, beating all of the best team in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and even some of the top teams from all over the country.

Thirdkill dominated just about every event he participated in, he’s a highly-skilled offensive talent with an unblockable jumpshot and the ability to pull-up from anywhere on the floor. Jason is starting to put it all together, he’s coming off a sophomore season where he averaged over 15 points and 7 rebounds per game, and he looks like he’s about to take off and take his game to another level.

was on such a tear this past summer that all of Texas has started to notice his talents, he even received offers and interest each month from high major Division 1 schools like Texas University, TCU, and even Virginia Tech. Zuby will definitely continue to rise in the ranks with the numbers he’s about to put up as a junior at Garland High School.
