#12 Dondre Watson Dondre Watson 6'9" | PF Bull City Prep | 2021 State NC | 6’9 Forward/Center | Big Shots Elite NC (Bull City Prep)
Watson saw his stock grow a ton over the summer on the Big Shots stage as a member of Big Shots Elite NC. He moved from the #114th ranked prospect into the 12th spot as the summer concludes. He’s a monster around the rim on both ends that’s slowly growing as a stretch-forward prospect. He isn’t shy about shooting from the perimeter, that’s for sure. He’s a menace around the rim that blocks shots and contains the boards. He made an early decision to commit to East Carolina prior to the end of the grassroots season.
#16 Bryce Harris Bryce Harris 6'5" | SF Bull City Prep | 2021 State NC | 6’5 Forward/Wing | Putnam Science ( Flight 22 Elite)
Given his strength and massive frame at 6-foot-5, he has the ability to play multiple positions on the floor and did so with ease this past summer with Flight 22 . He was a playmaker, a rim runner, a rim protector and then some as they ripped off a number of consecutive championships on the Big Shots stage. He won’t be in North Carolina, per se, this upcoming season but his name remains in the rankings given where he played over the high school and summer season in 2020. He’s seen his recruitment blow up over the spring/summer with offers from Wake Forest, UNC-Wilmington, Elon, Siena and others.
#25 Trae Benham Trae Benham 6'3" | CG Concord First Assembly | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Wing/Guard | Team Charlotte (Concord First)
Benham moves from No. 37 into No. 25 after making moves this summer. He is a versatile prospect that made an appearance with Team Charlotte this past summer and made his presence felt on both ends. He uses his size and frame well to overwhelm opponents as a scorer and playmaker. He’s another prospect that made the early decision to commit to the next level, making a pledge to Lipscomb. Look for him to make waves for the program in the near future.
#27 Kris Robinson Kris Robinson 5'11" | SG Combine Academy | 2021 State NC | 6’0 Shooting Guard | Team Charlotte (Combine Academy)
Robinson is starting to come on as a sharpshooter and sees himself move up from No. 38 to No. 27 after the summer. He’s done well to show he can knock it down with consistency while taking home All-Star honors and finishing among the top 3-point shooters in a number of events. His leadership and ability to play on and off the ball will be key for Combine Academy in 2020-21. He holds offers from UNC-Pembroke, Catawba and Lincoln Memorial.
#30 Kadyn Dawkins Kadyn Dawkins 5'9" | CG Eastern Guilford | 2021 State NC | 5’9 Guard | Carolina COBRAS (Eastern Guilford)
Dawkins moves up from No. 39 to No. 30 after another productive grassroots season to follow up the high school season. He continues to climb the rankings with his ability to compete on both ends and knock down the 3-ball with efficiency. He knocked down seven 3-pointers on Arena Court for Carolina COBRAS while averaging 15.5 ppg at Big Shots Rock the Rock. He’s an electric guard that gets after it and makes his presence felt at all times. He holds offers from Mars Hill and Concord.
#46 Ben Burnham Ben Burnham 6'8" | SF Carmel Christian | 2021 State NC | 6’7 Forward | Team Charlotte (Carmel Christian)
Burnham goes from No. 63 to No. 45 in the latest rankings update. He’s a prospect that likes to fly around on both ends for dunks, rebounds and blocks, wreaking havoc for opponents in the long run. He’s a double-double machine that can block shots, you couldn’t ask for much more from a kid his size. He’s headed to Winthrop after his senior season.
