The average of NCAA D1 signees have been 55 and 30 NCAA D2 signees as well. That is a total of 85 prospects out of the 100 on D1/D2 scholarships and then you have thse who went on to play at the NCAA D3 level as well as NAIA and JuCo prospects that were ranked as well. Here are some new faces that fell in the top 100 of the rankings from the Greater Houston.
Jaylin Gibson Jaylin Gibson 6'3" | SG Legacy School of Sports Science | 2021 State TX 6’3″ SG | Legacy School of Sports Science
Jaylin comes in as a transfer from Evanston, Illinois and was ranked top 10 in the state of Illinois according to Prep Hoops Illinois. He currently holds four NCAA D1 offers and will be attending Legacy School of Sports Science in Spring, TX. He is a tough guard that can be utilized as a combo guard. He is athletic and is aggressive on the attack to the rim. he shoots the ball well from behind the arc. He comes in at #20 in the updated Texas rankings. Excited to see this prospect play this year.
Tyrone Baker Tyrone Baker 6'10" | PF Fort Bend Hightower | 2021 State TX 6’10″ PF | Fort Bend Hightower
Ty has been on fire this summer and has picked up an additional 10 NCAA D1 offers since early June that brings his total to 17 D1 offers. He hails from Fort Myers, Florida and was ranked in the 25-30 range, and he is checking in at #22 for the Prep Hoops Texas rankings. He is very athletic and finishes everything around the rim. He has added a lot of strength and plays way more physical as well. Good timing on shot blocking and runs the floor really well. He was big time this summer for Chandler Parson 25 Elite squad. Expect for this prospect to make some big noise.
Jaylen Wysinger Jaylen Wysinger 6'2" | CG St. Pius X | 2021 State TX 6’1″ PG | Cypress Creek HS
Jaylen comes in at #49 in the new rankings on Prep Hoops Texas rankings. Jaylen is a tough point guard that is a new school score first point. He has explosive speed with the ball and is very athletic for his height as well. Plays with a great motor and is a tough on-ball defender as well. He currently holds a NCAA D1 offer from Detroit Mercy. He had a good summer and is a new transfer to Cypress Creek High School.
Brandon Love Brandon Love 6'9" | C Fort Bend Bush | 2021 State TX 6’9″ PF | Fort Bend Bush HS
Brandon checks in the rankings at #60 on the new rankings. This prospect has been one of the biggest stock risers compared to where he was at around this time last year. He is playing above the rim way more than he use to. He also has added some strength and moves better than he did last season. he was one of the top 3 players on the Houston Defenders squad this year. has good timing on shot blocking and can stretch out the floor for any school on the next level because of his ball handling abilities. He picked up 3 NCAA D1 offers this summer alone.
A.J. Ferguson A.J. Ferguson 6'5" | SG Cypress Park | 2021 State TX 6’5″ SG | Cypress Park HS
A.J. is a long athletic two guard that will be a great addition to any school on the next level. He is a tough on-ball defender with great lateral movement and quick hands. He has a long wingspan and plays with a great motor. He gets downhill and finishes at a a rate through contact around the rim. He also is a good shooter from the perimeter. Has a strong handle on the ball and engages his teammates in the game. He comes in at #79 on the updated rankings. College coaches get this prospect on your radar TODAY!
Mason McBride Mason McBride 6'5" | SF Manvel | 2021 State TX 6’5″ SF | Manvel HS
mason comes in at #86 on the updated rankings. He is uber athletic and is a solid defender in the paint. His jump shot has greatly improved from last season and is knocking down jumpers at a much higher rate. he doesn’t care who the opponent is he is going to give them fits. College Coaches get this prospect on you watch list today as he prepares to lead a solid high school squad that already has two other prospects that hold D1 offers.
Damian Watson Damian Watson 6'3" | CG Cypress Woods | 2021 State TX 6’4″ PG | Cypress Woods HS
Watson had a really strong showing at every camp that he participated in. He also played better this summer than he did last high school season and last summer. He is a big lead guard that uses his body well. He can score the ball from behind the arc as well as in the mid-range. He is very athletic and will dunk it on you if he catches you slipping. He comes in at #92 on the updated rankings. He currently holds a NCAA D2 offer on the table. Coaches get him on your radar.
