Danial Duncan (Peoria Area Elite)
This Peoria Christian 6’3” small forward played bigger than his height. The lefty was good at slashing from the high-post area. Also got loose in transition for several scores. Converted a nifty reverse layup.
Phoenix Smith (Chi-Town Warriors)
The lefty guard from Chicago Christian stands at 6’3” with an angular frame. He often used his quickness off the bounce for scores on drives where he either scored or got fouled.
Isaiah Roosevelt (Illinois Hoopstars Central)
The Champaign Central 6’3” shooting guard opened our eyes with his play. Silky smooth two guard that connected on jumpers from all over the floor including multiple threes. Projectable frame with upside as an offensive weapon.
Cam Liggins (Chicago Demons)
He is at his best letting it fly off the catch from beyond the arc. Nailed four from the land of three in the first game we saw him play. Bit of a long release, but he didn’t have much issue getting it off. He also excelled in transition filling his lane and getting the ball for layups. In the half court had a couple slick takes. Good athlete that displayed some quickness around the hoop.
Tai Walters Tai Walters 5'11" | PG Homewood Flossmoor | 2021 State IL (Team RWA)
In Team RWA’s first event Walters was a big time spot up shooting threat. Showed a solid feel with slip passes and making quick decisions with the rock in his hands in the second. Did the little things that have come to be expected out of the Homewood Flossmoor guard.
Enari Thomas (CD Elite)
This 6’1” Marshall combo guard has a thick and physical body. Uses his strength and burst on his initial step to get to the basket for scores on straight line takes. Solid mid-range game with his jumper. Also liked what he brought to the table on the defensive end. Got into his opponent crowding their space and creating turnovers.
Antonio Leavy (Illinois Stars)
Wide bodied five man is a space eater on the interior. Rebounds well in his area and moves fairly well for how big he is. Against the huge frontline of Minnesota Heat he came out aggressive with a couple scores on post touches and fought on the boards. The Rockford Jefferson center is one to track.
Alec Golembiewski (Windy City All-Stars)
The Genoa Kingston 6’0” point guard is a plus three point threat that was on fire for the Windy City All-Stars. Crisp and concise shot mechanically.
Jabari Sawyer (Chicago Demons)
Sawyer is a 5’10” point guard that plays taller with his long arms. Was most effective as a scorer in transition running the floor hard where he was rewarded with buckets. High activity level on both ends.
Cassius Brooks (Old Gold)
Brooks is a 6’0” combo guard with a strong and stocky build. He can really put the ball in the hoop. Scored effectively from all levels. Drilled an array of threes off the catch with sound mechanics. Combined that with several explosive drives off the bounce including multiple on the baseline for buckets. Has strength to finish through contact at the rim.
Nickolas Robinson (Old Gold)
The 6’5” Kenwood four man is a long and lanky post with projectability. His second jump was a huge factor in his production as he got on the offensive glass over and over again. Rim runner in transition, had a finish in the pick/roll, and took his man off the bounce from the mid-post.
Carson Loepker (Illinois Bears Ritzel)
Loepker is a 5’10” point guard that has crisp handles and is a solid passer. As a scorer he hit a three and was effective getting in the lane for scoop shots.
Buzz Ritzel (Illinois Bears Ritzel)
Ritzel is a 6’2” combo guard from small school basketball power Nashville. He was very good in this game drilling threes off the catch. Can play both on and off the ball. Crafty with the rock in his hands including scoring on a spinning layup.
Marlelle Coleman (Young & Reckless)
The lengthy guard from Bogan was effective playing both on and off the ball. Liked the speed he played with pushing it in the open floor and seemed to have a solid overall feel in the backcourt.
