After our series of articles on the Class of 2021 who should be valued, we now shift our attention to those in the Class of 2022 and those that need to be on the radar of college coaches.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these juniors the attention of prospective college coaches.
Dallas Kluender – Woodbury Central
Woodbury Central is coming off a tough season, but the Wildcats will hope Dallas Kluender and those returning can turn things around.
Kluender scored 201 points on 43 percent shooting as a sophomore. He also recorded 92 rebounds with 17 assists, 11 steals and 11 blocks, knocking down a handful of three-pointers.
He is one of six players back with starting experience for Woodbury Central.
Jackson Howe – Kingsley-Pierson
There is a nice Class of 2022 duo at Kingsley-Pierson and it starts with guard Jackson Howe.
As a sophomore, Howe scored 196 points with 65 rebounds, 44 assists and 24 steals. A year of experience should allow him to limit the turnovers, thus creating more chances for himself and his teammates.
Howe helped the Panthers win 11 games last year, shooting 41 percent from the field with 16 made three-pointers.
Cade Harriman – Ridge View
Ridge View started to find some success late in the season, finishing with nine wins in all.
Cade Harriman, a Class of 2022 prospect, is one of several players who saw time in the starting lineup set to return for the Raptors. He averaged almost seven points with two assists, two rebounds and nearly two steals a night.
Harriman shot over 37 percent from the floor and nearly 65 percent from the free throw stripe.
JJ Lander – West Monona
A large Class of 2022 group returns for West Monona after helping the Spartans last year.
JJ Lander leads the unit following a sophomore season that saw him score 139 points with 55 rebounds, 29 assists and 26 steals.
Lander shot nearly 38 percent from the floor and over 65 percent from the free throw line.
Malakie Christopherson – Kingsley-Pierson
The other Class of 2022 standout for Kingsley-Pierson is Malakie Christopherson, as he will be one of three returning starters back for the Wildcats.
Christopherson tallied 166 points and finished second on the team with 117 rebounds. He shot almost 34 percent from the field, made 17 three-pointers and sank 74 percent of his free throw attempts.
Along with adding scoring and rebounding, Christopherson also had 43 assists and 24 steals.
