Part II may lack the national star power of its predecessor, but in no way is this article short on exceptionally talented SE Pennsylvania players who have decide to change schools this summer.
Among those highlighted in this new list of transfers is a 4-star, All-State player with multiple D-I offers.
John Camden John Camden 6'7" | SG Brewster Academy | 2021 #135 Nation PA 6’8” / Senior / Wing. From Archbishop Carroll to Brewster Academy (NH). Another four star recruit who plays for Team Final, Camden already holds offers from a number of D-I schools including Indiana and Memphis. What college coaches love about this athlete is his ability to score the ball in numerous ways. He can draw a defense out with his ability to shoot the 3-ball which will open up the floor for teammates. Or, if the defense plays him tight, Camden can put the ball on the floor and score at the rim. Ohh yeah, his mid-range game is a thing of beauty too. Plus he can rebound, as his 28 total boards vs. Cardinal O’Hara (Springfield, PA) this past season proved. In 2019-20 Camden was a 4A All-State selection. Camden also previously played at national power The Westtown School (Malvern, PA).
Sean Hutchinson 6’2” / Junior / Shooting Guard. From People for People Charter to Phelps School. Hutchinson is a high level scoring guard who can really make jumpers from all over the floor. He has a muscular build that allows him to be physical with opposing guards. Hutchinson also owns a decent PG skills set – ball handling; good basketball IQ – which makes him versatile asset for any coach. He had a good freshman season at St. Elizabeth’s HS in Wilmington, DE before transferring to Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA). In 2019-20 he played at People for People Charter (Phila., PA).
Gestin Liberis 6’10” / Junior / Forward. From Msgr. Bonner/ Arch. Prendergast to George School. Liberis’ is a 6’10” wide body athlete who is an elite shot blocker thanks to an enormous wingspan. His offensive skills are still raw, but his upside is tremendous. At Bonner, Liberis showed glimpses of his ability to dominate the paint at both ends of the floor. The developing big scored 11 pts for Bonner vs Eastern York in the PIAA state playoffs.
Jackson Piotrowski 6’5” / Senior / Wing. From Delaware County Christian to Phelps School. The former Delco Christian School (Newtown Square, PA) standout is a wing player who can fill it up. In 2019-20 Piotrowski averaged 17.7 points per game and posted four 30 or more point efforts. This smooth shooting and crafty scoring machine ended his career with 1,333 points. A three-year starter at DCC, last season Piotrowski was a 3rd team Class 2A All-State choice and a 2nd team All-Delaware County selection. He also averaged 8.2 rebounds per contest. According to coach Morin at The Phelps School, quarantine helped Piotrowski put on some muscle and improve his handles.
Dan Skillings 6’5” / Junior / Wing. From St. Joseph’s (Hammonton, NJ) to Roman Catholic. Skillings is a prospect who can score at all 3 levels and he is only getting better. A skilled wing/forward on Philly Pride’s 16U squad, Skillings is also a vocal leader on the court. In 2019-20 as the No. 1 option at St. Joseph’s, he averaged 18.6 ppg. as well as 7.2 rpg. Additionally, Skillings posted 8 double-doubles. Hoop heads in South Jersey are still talking about the 33 points and 8 boards performance he hung on Millville last winter. For his outstanding sophomore season, he was honored by the Atlantic City Press as a 2nd team All-Area selection. Among the schools showing early interest are Temple; Saint Joe’s and Richmond.
Christian Tamasco 6’9” / Senior / Center. From Bishop Eustace (Pennsauken, NJ) to Archbishop Ryan. A mainstay for the Philly Pride 17U National team, Tamasco is a polished post threat who can beat you in a number of ways. His ability to use the jump stop and ball fakes to create scoring opportunities is special. As is the nice flip hook Tamasco has in his bag of low post tricks. Tamasco is also a rim runner who frequently beats opposing bigs down the floor. His ability to absorb contact makes Tamasco an excellent finisher on the interior. A 2nd Team All Olympic Conference player, Tamasco was key in Eustace’s 2019-20 regular season success and their New Jersey Non-Public A South state tournament run in March.
