Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some new names from Missouri that have emerged after this weekend’s “The Finale” in Kansas City.
Jordan McGee Jordan McGee 5'11" | PG Grandview | 2021 State MO 5’10″ Team KC-Hooks 17U: A very solid 2021 point guard from Grandview who plays under control and doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. He is very effective with the dribble penetration and he can deliver pinpoint passes with both hands. He finishes well in the lane and he has a nice mid-range jumper in his arsenal. He plays for one of the top programs in Kansas City.
Cooper Starks 6’2″ Team KC-Don 17U: A rangy 2021 combo guard from Pembroke Hill who can handle the point guard duties or take his game to the wing where he can knock down 3-pointers. He has good athleticism as he can attack the basket and make plays off the dribble. He can also elevate and throw down a dunk if you are not paying attention in the paint.
Todd Bieg Todd Bieg 6'7" | PF Washington | 2021 State MO 6’6″ Missouri Basketball Club: A solid 2021 forward from Washington who is very skilled around the basket. He has good mobility and footwork in the post and he can also take opposing bigs off the dribble. He can also make the solid pass out of the post to the open shooter.
Luke Mcdonald Luke Mcdonald 6'3" | SG Lee's Summit | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Missouri Hawks 17U: I have been very impressed with watching this 2022 guard from Lee’s Summit who was getting things done at the 17U level. He is really strong with the basketball as he loves to take it to the basket and seek the contact on the way to a bucket. His feel for the game is good as he will find open teammates with his passing skills. He will also make those hustle plays for loose balls.
London Taylor 6’3″ Team KC Pip 17U: An explosive 2021 combo guard who will be attending Lincoln Prep in KC after transferring from Schlagle (KS) High. He plays an exciting above-the-rim game with transition dunks and alley-oops. He attacks the basket well and finishes in the lane with floaters and mid-range jumpers with excellent elevation.
Larry Parker Ill 6’4 Mentality by Michael Watson 16U: The 2023 forward from Staley helped lead his team to a bracket championship while playing a year up. He has a good combination of power and finesse in his game. He has an effective low post game and can take defenders off the drive. He balances that out with an effective perimeter jumper.
