We covered Minnesota live, but don’t fear Illinois teams that were in Kansas City we got you covered too! All this week we are rolling out our Film Room evaluations from the event! Here is The Finale Film Room: Archangels 16U!
Jeremiah Babers Jeremiah Babers 6'1" | PG Galesburg | 2022 State IL (Galesburg – 2021)
Babers has been excellent this summer. The 6’1” point guard has really elevated his stock in multiple PrepHoops Circuit events including The Finale. What we were most impressed with in this setting was his passing. Babers was outstanding dishing the rock for assists. Whether it was shooters or cutters he seemed to always make the correct decision in the half court that led to an assist. As a scorer he used his athleticism getting to the cup where he finishes with athleticism.
Eli Hofmann Eli Hofmann 5'11" | PG Mercer County | 2022 State IL (Sherrard – 2021)
Hofmann is another stock riser from the summer. He can really shoot the ball and that is what he did in this game as the 5’10” point guard connected on four triples. Crisp and quick release. Has some moxie to him finishing inside on scoop shots and off hand layups.
Alexavier Egipciago (Galesburg – 2021)
This 6’1” combo is a strong guard with a physical body. He banked in a mid-range jumper and drilled a three off the catch. Got in the lane for finishes and rebounded at a high rate for a guard.
Alexandre Egipciago (Galesburg – 2021)
Egipciago had a bit of a quiet game. Hit a three and got fouled on a drive. Showed solid on the defensive end.
Koen Derry Koen Derry 6'7" | PF Galesburg | 2022 State IL (Galesburg – 2021)
The 6’6” face up four man has some intriguing tools. High points rebounds on the defensive end. Also active offensively with his quickness for second chance points. Bouncy around the hoop finishing off quick passes from his guards. Put it on the deck for an impressive and-1 finish. Walled up inside on the defensive end a couple times making it difficult for his opponent.
Haden Case Haden Case 6'4" | PF Macomb | 2022 State IL (Macomb – 2021)
Case is a 6’4” four man that isn’t overly athletic, but had a decent skill level. Looked smooth on a catch and shoot three. Had a couple of finishes on the interior. Worth consideration at the small college level.
