G – I’Ryan Allen I’Ryan Allen 6'2" | PG Ruskin | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Team KC-Derrick 16U: The point guard from Raymore-Peculiar was impressive as he helped lead his team to a championship over the weekend. He has good length and he covers a lot of space with the dribble. He got into the lane well and can elevate on his pull-up jumper. He was just as impressive on the defensive end with his ball-hawking and on-ball pressure against opposing guards.
G – Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 6’0″ Gateway Basketball Club 16U: The talented combo guard from South Iron was his team’s top scorer as he led them to the semifinals of bracket play. He displayed his three-level scoring ability with his high-arching shot from 3-point range. He was very fearless in his drive game to the basket and I was also impressed with the plays he was making for his teammates with the pass.
G- Devin Carroll Devin Carroll 6'3" | SG Fair Grove | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Missouri Flight 16U: The smooth lefty point guard from Nixa put in work at the 16U level and also spent some time with the 17U team as well. He showed the ability to beat defenders in a number of ways as he can shoot the deep ball with very good accuracy, take them off the dribble with crafty takes to the basket. He also set up teammates with some nice dimes with both hands.
F- Ryan Schwendeman Ryan Schwendeman 6'4" | SF St. Dominic | 2022 State MO 6’4″ Gateway-Knights 16U: One of the strongest forwards that I watched over the weekend, the St. Dominic standout used his physical strength to bull-moose his way to buckets in the lane. He can post up and score on aggressive takes to the basket. He will also step out and knock down a 3-pointer.
F- Kortez Stevenson Kortez Stevenson 6'7" | PF Center | 2022 State MO 6’6″ Team KC-Derrick 16U: The southpaw power forward from Center was a force in the paint in helping lead his team to the 16U championship. He looks like a young Zach Randolph in the low post with his combination of strength and footwork around the basket. He can score from many different angles and uses fakes quite well. He also has a delicate shooting touch from the perimeter.
Sixth Man: Tommy Pinegar Tommy Pinegar 5'10" | SG Greenwood Lab | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Mission Minded 17U: The standout shooting guard from Greenwood was one of the top perimeter shooters during the weekend as he shot better than 40 percent from long distance while playing up at 17U. He has a sweet stroke from long distance with great range and a quick release. He moves well to get to the open spots.
