Jonathan Zhao (Sevier County) Unranked in TN
2021, WF, 6-foot-4, 4.0 GPA, 25 ACT, Wears #23 with Tennessee Bobcats 17u
Latest Looks: Maryville offered Jonathan this weekend. Carson-Newman University and Bryn Athyn College both keep in touch. “They aren’t offers but they’re showing a lot of interest,” said Zhao. Previously, Lee and Centre College inquired about the tall wing.
Andrew’s Angle: Guard height is a plus, as the average size for each position (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) increases each step a prospect takes up the ladder. For Zhao to thrive beyond high school he will need to lean on that height as a leverage point. He will be out-quicked and in order

PJ Smith PJ Smith 5'11" | PG Goodpasture | 2021 State TN (Goodpasture)
2021, PG, 5-foot-11, Wears #0 with Pro One Select 17u (AL) Ranked #16 in TN
Latest Looks: Appalachian State, VMI, Cal-State Bakersfield are all newly interested. Freed-Hardeman offered P.J. in July. North Alabama, Campbell, Lipscomb, Wofford reached out as early as June.
Andrew’s Angle: Classic point guard. Pass-first, shoot-second. Exceptional halfcourt vision and creativity. P.J. is a great teammate, a winner, and a skilled player. In my opinion, his height will limit his ceiling to D2+ and FHU established his floor to be NAIA. D1 programs keep inquiring though, proving me wrong.
Jack Brown Jack Brown 6'4" | SG Maryville | 2021 State TN (Maryville) Ranked #43 in TN
2021, SG, 6-foot-4, Wears #21 with Mid-State Elite 17u
Latest Looks: “Piedmont College has been talking to me a lot,” shared Jack Brown Jack Brown 6'4" | SG Maryville | 2021 State TN August 8th via Twitter DM. “I’m getting a visit set with them. Have been talking with Lee University still. I’m going down there for their elite camp tomorrow.” Maryville offered May 1st. In 2019, Brown elite-camped with Campbell and Queens University (NC).
Andrew’s Angle: The hops of Jack give him more options than a typical wing prospect. His height (6’4″) is attractive to college recruiters. Strong grades. He is never going to be inelligible for the college he plays for and character is not an issue. Jack is also a go-getter, and self-motivated. These are all important to recruiters as he will be a low-maintaince, high-impact player. What level ultimately? Mid-major D1 is his ceiling. D2 is the floor. Brown is perfect for the modern “3-and-D” flow. Loves to pass, shoot, defend. Undervalued currently, probably even by us.
Reese McMullen Reese McMullen 6'2" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN (Christian Brothers) Ranked #23 in TN
2021, SG, 6-foot-2
Latest Looks: Actionable offers from Army, Penn, Holy Cross, Lipscomb, Dartmouth.
Andrew’s Angle: High-academic all day. Reese feels like an Ivy League basketball player. He has been starting for Christian Brothers since his freshman year. Good parents, great person, great grades. Brainy, hard-working. Every class has around 3 guys who are obviously going to be successful in life after basketball ends someday. Reese is one of those guys.
