Nate Abel Nate Abel 6'1" | PG Beaver Dam | 2021 State WI – Guard – Wisconsin Crusaders
Abel has gotten better and better on the offensive end over the last two years. Adding to his skillset, the Beaver Dam guard shot the ball at a high level all summer and is comfortable off the dribble and off-balance. Also adding to his stock can play on and off the ball. He can also handle the point duties and distribute to his teammates and allow them to get in a rhythm if needed. Abel has always had those instincts, but now that he can take over as a scorer, that makes him a lot more attractive as a prospect.
Victor Desmond Victor Desmond 6'6" | SF Onalaska | 2021 State WI – Small Forward – Wisconsin Playground
There’s a big void that Desmond needs to fill for Onalaska next season after losing two Division 2 recruits. Desmond showed some good signs over the summer, especially with his work in the weight room. Up to 6-foot-6, Desmond has also filled out and added some noticeable muscle. Also an athletic slasher who can score in the mid-range effectively, Desmond has the look of a Division 1 prospect with still a lot of room left for growth.
Jameson Dougherty Jameson Dougherty 6'9" | PF River Falls | 2021 State WI – Power Forward – Wisconsin Playmakers
Still think Dougherty has his work cut out for him at the Division 1 level, but I think he’s starting to put it together. Dougherty has always had great size, length, and mobility, but now his skills and instincts are catching up. The River Falls forward has much better footwork in the post and has added a face-up mid-range game. He shoots it at a decent clip from beyond the arc. If Dougherty keeps progressing, Army may have found a diamond in the rough.
Brock Heffner Brock Heffner 6'7" | PF Grafton | 2021 State WI – Forward – Wisconsin Playground
Heffner backed up what we thought would happen this summer…and then some. The Grafton standout is going to be one of the bigger breakout players in the state next season. At 6-foot-7, Heffner has an imposing post game with a budding versatile skill set. After a strong summer, Division 2 programs are coming in quick here.
Dylan Kuehl Dylan Kuehl 6'7" | PF Hustisford | 2021 State WI – Forward – Wisconsin Swing
Have Kuehl in the top 25 after getting to view him during the Mississippi River Classic. An explosive athlete who can play inside and out, Kuehl has a chance to be a dynamic offensive weapon at the next level. Kuehl shoots it well from 3-point range, can handle the ball in transition, take defenders to the block and score around the rim, and is very gifted as a leaper and gets off the ground quickly.
Kamari Mcgee Kamari Mcgee 6'0" | PG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State WI – Point Guard – Wisconsin Playground Club
Working on the next class of 2021 rankings at this time. Leaning towards placing McGee in the top 10. Just feels like whatever program lands the Racine St. Catherine’s product will be in great hands. A smart, instinctive lead guard who impacts the game across the board, McGee is a low floor type prospect who teammates love playing with.
Jasin Sinani Jasin Sinani 6'3" | SG Oak Creek | 2021 State WI – SG – Wisconsin Rap
Want to see more from Sinani during the high school season, but was pleasantly surprised by his performance at the Midwest Showdown. The Oak Creek star is explosive on the ball, has blow-by ability, and can shake defenders in the open floor or half court. Sinani is a quality shooter from every level. When he gets in a zone too, it’s fun to watch the points pile up quickly.
Alex Singleton Alex Singleton 6'4" | PF Wauwatosa East | 2021 State WI – Power Forward – ABC Young Lions
He’s an undersized forward who doesn’t do a ton away from the rim, but that shouldn’t deter schools from making Singleton a priority. A high-energy prospect with a will to win, Singleton brings a ton more to the table than what shows up in the box score. Singleton loves to do the dirty work around the rim, he’s always pumping up his teammates, and swings games with momentum-changing plays. With some of the best glue guy potential in the state, Singleton would an excellent addition to just about any locker room.
Trey Traeder Trey Traeder 6'3" | SG Lodi | 2021 State WI – Shooting Guard – Wisconsin Swing
Traeder showed off his shot making ability at the Mississippi River Classic. The Lodi product even performed well against athletes and continued scoring even after consistent efforts to cool him off. Traeder has good positional size at 6-foot-3. Not going to wow anybody with athleticism or speed off the ball, but can be deadly if given room to shoot the ball.
Tre Valeriano Tre Valeriano 6'0" | PG Pius XI | 2021 State WI – Point Guard – World Hoops Elite
Valeriano stands out with his quickness and ability to change speeds on the ball. The Milwaukee Washington guard is a high volume scorer that always thinks his next shot is going down. Valeriano has a quick first step and is very crafty when operating in traffic. Although he’s just 5-foot-11, Valeriano has a deep bag of tricks and an array of shot types once he gets into the paint to supplement offense.
