Logan Owen Logan Owen 6'4" | CG Belleview Christian | 2021 State CO – Belleview Christian
Owen is typically a player that has the ball in his hands for his high school but showed that he is able of switching it up if need be. Logan showed that he could be a player that can play off of the ball as he had a much better Day 2 performance. Owen crashed the boards and had a mini-run where he made back to back baskets. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands but moves well without it until he finds an open hole in the defense, and he did that in the game. He made it a point to get to the rim and got some cleanup baskets and also took his man in 1-on-1 situations.
Tyce Baldwin Tyce Baldwin 6'4" | CG Fossil Ridge | 2021 State CO – Fossil Ridge
With a couple of players missing, it was on Baldwin to keep his team in the game by being aggressive, and he made sure to get downhill and to the rim for baskets. He also opened up the defense with his outside shot as well as knocked a couple down to loosen it up a bit. Baldwin is usually known for his athletic finishes on the break, but this time he showed that he could pick apart the defense from the perimeter and grind it out.
Eddie Mcphee Eddie Mcphee 6'6" | SF Geore Washington | 2021 State CO – George Washington
It was good to see McPhee’s offense come alive as his team made it a point to get out and ran and also get it out on the break. McPhee is a player that demanded the ball in those situations and finished. McPhee had a dunk in the first game that got his team going; in this game, it was a balance. He had 14 points in the game as a slasher that also created for himself off of the dribble. He kept getting inside of the defense at the rim and also visited the FT line a couple of times. When McPhee allows the game to come to him and pick and choose when to attack, the game slows down for him a bit. Excellent day for him.
Eddie Kurjak Eddie Kurjak 6'8" | PF Longmont | 2021 State CO – Longmont
Kurjak’s athletic ability allows him to do many things on the floor. Kurjak did not play in the first game, but in the second game, he made his mark early as a spark off of the bench. He used that athleticism to soar for boards and go straight up, he picked up a block and had a couple of finishes at the rim. Kurjak is a player to build around that does plenty of positive things on the floor; schools should be all over him.
Wade Jones Wade Jones 6'5" | CG Cheyenne Mountain | 2021 State CO – Cheyenne Mountain
Jones is a talented player that is a bit raw. One thing that cannot be taken away from him is how hard he plays. He was out there on Day 2 giving his all, and the thing that you always have to watch out for with him is him going up for an explosive dunk or finish. Jones started the game with a 3-pointer, then got an and-1 finish as he went on to score a game-high 20 points. Jones understands how to get to the FT line as he will attack the rim relentlessly and is not afraid to use his body for finesse finishes. Jones was a player that the team went through for the games, and they relied on him to get the OT win. He came through and showed that he could score in bunches.
