Roster
Demarcus Sanford Jr. of Lift for Life Academy (6’2 PG). The No. 30 player in the Prep Hoops Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, Demarcus is a very athletic point guard can impact the game at both end of the floor. He is an explosive leaper an a very effective 3-point shooter. He shot 37 percent from long distance as a junior. He also shoots a nice jumper coming off the the pick and roll. He has the ability to be a lock down defender with his length. He has received interest from a number of Division I and Division II schools.
Barcus Jackson Jr of Lift for Life Academy (6’3 SG). Barcus is an excellent all-around prospect who can really multi-task to help his team succeed. He is an excellent rebounder from the guard position who is athletic and will get the ball. He is a good ball handler who will make solid decisions with the basketball. He has an effective mid-range jumper and he can make the open 3-pointer. He has a high basketball IQ to go along with his strong work ethic. His defensive instincts are excellent as he keeps himself in the right position to make a play.
Nyjahl Vauhgn of Cardinal Ritter College Prep (5’10 G). Nyjahl is a two-sport standout who is also a talented prospect on Ritter’s powerful football team. He is a tenacious defense player who does an excellent job of applying pressure on the ball. He is strong and very aggressive. On offense, he has developed a very effective pull-up jump shot. He also excels in the transition game.
Cleveland Washington Cleveland Washington 6'0" | SF Lutheran North | 2021 State MO of Lutheran North HS (6’1 SF). Cleveland is an undersized forward who constantly outworks bigger players with his physical strength and high rate of activity. He is an excellent rebounder for his size as he is constantly working and hustling. He is very good when he is attacking the basket and taking bigger defenders off the dribble. He helped the Crusaders to a district championship.
Willie Davis III of Cardinal Ritter College Prep (6’1 SG). Willie is a tireless worker who played a key role on Cardinal Ritter’s drive to the Class 3 state championship. He is a high energy wing player who is very effective on the full court press with his ability to play the passing lanes. He is a very good slashing threat on offense and he will also attack the offensive boards. He makes things happen without having to run any plays for him.
Marcus Pepper of Granite City, IL (5’9 PG). Marcus is a quick southpaw point guard who plays with a lot of pace. He uses his speed very effectively by constantly getting into the lane on dribble penetration. He can locate open teammates with his court vision or he can pull up and knock down jumpers while stopping on the dime.
Hasani Spann Hasani Spann 5'11" | CG MICDS | 2021 State MO of MICDS (6’1″ SG): Hasani is an excellent 3-point shooter who can really shoot the ball from long distance. He has a quick release and he can knock down 3-pointers in bunches when he gets hot. He has also developed a nice 15-footer off the dribble to compliment his shooting when defenders close out on his. He is also a very attentive defender who will sit down and move his feet. He is also a brilliant young man with a 1500 score on his SAT.
Rico Singleton Rico Singleton 6'2" | SG Lift for Life | 2021 State MO of Lift for Life Academy (6’1 SG): Rico is an excellent football prospect who is getting interest from Division I and Division II schools. He brings that kind of mentality to the basketball court with his high motor and aggressive play at both ends of the court. There are stretches where he can get it going offensively with his ability to shoot the basketball and score in the transition game. He rarely takes plays off.
Eric Calicutt Eric Calicutt 6'6" | SF Miller Career Academy | 2022 State MO of Miller Career Acadmey (6’5″ F): Eric is a Class of 2022 power forward who has been playing up a level and more than held his own on the circuit. He is a tremendous offensive rebounder who who has a quick second and third jump to beat everyone else to the ball. He also rebounds well out of his area. He has good moves in the low post and he can finish well around the basket. He can also step outside and knock down a perimeter jumper.
Shelton Flanigan of Miller Career Acadmey (6’5″ F): Shelton is a very skilled combo forward who is very comfortable on the perimeter with his ability to hit pick-and-pop jumper from the high post and beyond the 3-point line. He works well on the high post with his ability to pass and score off one dribble moves to the basket. He is also a solid rebounder who will block shots.
Joe Ware Joe Ware 6'9" | PF Oakville | 2021 State MO of Oakville (6’9″ F): Joe is a late-developing big with length and very good agility who runs the court with relative ease. His rim-runs usually finish with impressive slam dunks. He is a very good shot blocker with excellent timing to keep from fouling. He has good fundamentals on offense where he always keeps the ball high on the catch or when he grabs an offensive rebound.
