With 50 teams participating in the entire Event I was mainly focused on the Grit Bracket of the event. Here are my All-Grit Bracket 1st Team. Give me these Five against any other Bracket and we will come away as the winners.
Shawn Warrior 6’3” CG | 2020 | Kansas Pray N Play
Shawn is a very skilled scorer. This JuCo commit played very well in the event. He scored the ball from all three levels. He was able to get his teammates involved in the game as well. He was a tough assignment for opponents. He knows how to get to his spots on the floor and he is active on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Chris Morris 6’2” G | 2021 | Houston Raptors Benjamin [as seen in the picture]
He was the MVP of the Grit Bracket. Had a great performance in the Title game going for 14 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and coming away with 5 steals. He is a super tough on-ball defender and continues to improve his offensive game every time I see him. He is a late bloomer and picked the perfect time to begin blooming. As his offensive game continues to grow look out for this prospect.
Bryce Griggs 6’3” PG | 2022 | TJ Ford
Bryce was by far the best scorer in the entire Grit Bracket. He averaged 23.6 points per game and his high was a 31 point outing. Great combo skill set to get separation to get his shot off and is very shifty with the ball in his hands. He is more bouncy than when we last seen him and absorbs contact well around the rim. He has excellent floor vision that doesn’t get talked about much and was a willing passer as well as he averaged 5.3 assists per game also.
Jaylon White 6’1” PG | 2021 |Team Nation
Great feel for the game, acrobatic finishes, and was dropping dimes all over the court. He also showed that he could take over a game as well as he went on multiple scoring runs and defensive stops by himself. Shot the ball really well from deep also and he can play above the rim. He currently holds one NCAA D1 Offer on the table but is looking to rack up a couple of more. https://prephoops.com/player/jaylon-white/
Kamryn Waits 6’11” C | 2021 | Team F.O.E. Elite
Kam was dominate on the low block and played solid every single game. He has good footwork and is quick on his feet as well. He was able to impose his will physically on the court as well. Plays with finesse around the basket and has a soft touch with a nice baby hook. He also threw done a couple of rim rattling dunks in the game. Showcased his game from the high post as well.
