Continue ReadingThe North Fremont Huskies compete at the 2A level in District VI in the state of Idaho and have quietly been building a solid program over the last couple of years. Under head coach Shannon Hill, the Huskies had an incredible season in 2019-20 going 7-1 in conference, 22-2 overall, and ultimately winning the state championship at the 2A level. North Fremont loves to play an uptempo style of offense and they have a young roster with lots of returners that have played big roles for the squad already. The Huskies will look to continue their winning ways this season as they attempt to climb their way back into the state championship race and compete for another title. Continue reading for a few players to watch this season.
Luke Hill Luke Hill 5'11" | SG North Fremont | 2021 State ID , 2021: Luke has a great motor for the Huskies and is a menace on defense. He plays hard every possession and competes in every single game that he plays. Hill is constantly in the passing lanes and can pick the pockets of offensive players who try to cross over too loosely in front of him. On offense, Luke loves to start the fast break and is often the recipient of a fast break layup as well. He is a high energy guard for the Huskies and I expect him to lead the way in the 2020-21 season as North Fremont attempts to head back to the state championship.
Jordan Lenz Jordan Lenz 6'0" | PG North Fremont | 2022 State ID , 2022: Lenz is a 6’0″ shooting guard/point guard for North Fremont with great potential. He has a deadly jumper from outside and it is rare to see him play a game where he knocks down less than a pair of triples. His feet are always set for catch-and-shoot opportunities and he has a beautiful release that he is able to get off quickly over taller defenders with a high release point. Jordan is already a leader for a dangerous North Fremont Huskies team and I would expect his production to increase this season. The Huskies will constantly be looking to Lenz for scoring and carrying a lot of the offensive weight in 2020-21.
