Earlier in the week, “J Law” announced his top five schools: Arkansas, Alabama, Oregon, Vandy, Iowa State. He labeled them his “Top 5,” but if we assume that means all unmentioned schools that have offered are off the table, then these schools are ostensibly eliminated from the sweepstakes: LSU, TCU, Missouri, Tulane, Georgia, Nebraska, Memphis, Syracuse. Lawson was the 2020 Mr. Basketball at the Class AA level.

Way back in July Jackson Hilger Jackson Hilger 6'2" | SG Chattanooga Christian | 2022 State TN earned his first offer, that from Covenant College. There are several notable schools tracking Jackson after his strong summer ( Tennessee Tigers ) among them Freed-Hardeman, Lee University, Centre College, University of Alabama Huntsville. Bryan College invited Jackson to their elite camp.

John Windley John Windley 6'4" | PG Brentwood | 2021 State TN has offers from Washington “Wash U” University, Johns Hopkins, Emory, and Rhodes. “They are all really good fits for him as a student and a player,” shared John’s mother Nancy Tuesday via Twitter DM. Remember, John’s older brother David is a member of the Wash U men’s basketball team.
#44 Tony Sapp Tony Sapp 6'6" | SF South-Doyle | 2021 State TN (South-Doyle) ’21
Sapp plays for Team Passion 17u. “Lee has been connecting with him,” said Team Passion Director. “And Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.” Interestingly, Northern Oklahoma-Enid hired Tennessee State University graduate Darreon Reddick just last year. Reddick joined the staff in 2019 after spending 1 year playing professional basketball overseas in Europe.

“[The] Citadel and Lincoln Memorial are recruiting pretty heavily,” shared Matthew Sells Matthew Sells 6'3" | SG Livingston Academy | 2021 State TN Friday afternoon. Lipscomb continues to keep in touch, though they have not offered. Lincoln Memorial played in 8 NCAA Tournaments and won 15 NCAA Tournament games at the D2 level.
