Chris Mantis Chris Mantis 6'6" | SF Lowell | 2021 State IN Drops Top 6
One of the guys in the entire country who actually gained a ton of offers despite not playing in front of college coaches was Lowell (IN) wing Chris Mantis Chris Mantis 6'6" | SF Lowell | 2021 State IN . The 6’6 talent has seen his stock propel forward in the last few months to the point where he has too many options he is cutting his list down.
Mantis cut it down to his top six programs: Purdue-Fort Wayne, Valparaiso, Ball State, Illinois-Chicago, Appalachian State, and Drake. With the way the climate of basketball is going at the high school and college level, there isn’t a ton of hurry to make a decision but could see one sooner rather than later as not much will change. Could see in-state schools being appealing as the family is close and attending games would be great but Drake also has a ton of Indiana flavor and the comfort there would be better than some others.
Blake Wesley Blake Wesley 6'5" | SG South Bend Riley | 2021 State #95 Nation IN Announces Top 12
One of the top players in the class, Blake Wesley Blake Wesley 6'5" | SG South Bend Riley | 2021 State #95 Nation IN , made a small move towards a commitment by also narrowing in his focus this past week as he announced his Top 12. The current contenders are Maryland, Kansas State, Creighton, Grand Canyon, Missouri, Purdue, Notre Dame, Xavier, Texas, Louisville, Indiana, and Ohio State.
The names that have been hot on the rumor wire have been Purdue and Notre Dame. As more players come off the board over the next month or so you could see this list get narrowed in but common thought would be a higher level academic school in the Big Ten footprint which could be a number of schools including Notre Dame. Probably have a big on this one but the 6’5 guard has some really nice landing spots as we sit today.
